BE AWARE!! STOP!! DO NOT USE!!!!
My wife and son decided to surprise me for my 40th birthday with a trip to Jackson to go snowmobiling. My wife booked this experience on October 26th 2024 for December 1st 2024. She called multiple times to verify the information and confirm the reservation. When she called the reservation number she was told that the business would be open and if per chance there was not enough snow to do the tour they would let us know the day before and issue us a refund. We arrived on the morning of the 1st to the location at the time that was assigned to us to find no one was even there. After waiting for 25 minutes we confronted the other vehicle in the parking lot to see if they knew anything. These people had booked a trip for the same morning and were told to be there at 6 am, it was by that point 8:20 am and they had not heard or seen anyone. At that point another vehicle had pulled into the parking lot. After speaking with them, they informed us that they had a reservation for the same trip that we had. We called and called with no answer from anyone. Luckily, a girl by the name of Megan (who was the only person to help us) walked through the parking lot and stopped to help us. She told us that she was new and was there to get certified so she could guide the tours. She then called a district manager by the name of Steve which we all spoke with about this. He told us that these should have never been booked as they do not open till Dec 15th at the earliest. He and Ryan Castana (at least I think that was how you spell his last name...and I believe he's another district manager) would be there on the following day (Monday) to talk with all of us and handle this. We showed up on Monday at 9 am (like we were told to) and none of the managers were there. There were 4 people in the office, and all of them confirmed that they worked for Teton Tour Company and were there for training. even if there was enough snow, they wouldn't be able to guide the tour as they needed more training. So we left. Monday afternoon we received a Reservation Cancelation saying our tour was canceled...the day after it was supposed to happen. Today, Dec 5th I finally was able to get ahold of someone at Teton, and the "Manager" girl told me that it wasn't their fault and that there wasn't enough snow, so of course, we couldn't do the tour. She went ahead and lied to me, saying that they would have done the tour if there was enough snow. I asked her why every other employee told us, including the district manager, that the reservation should have never been booked and her response was "They don't work for Teton and they are lying to me". It's interesting that 6 people said the same thing and then this lady is calling them a liar. We spent a lot of money to go on this trip if we knew they weren't even open we would have not gone. The purpose of this trip was for this tour only! So now I am trying to get my money back but when I call they hang up on me. I've even called from another number and when I start speaking they hang up on me. DO NOT use this company. They lie, they do not take ownership for anything then they are not even willing to refund my money let alone a voucher for a future trip. The company that owns Teton Tour is Aramark and they own a lot of the snowmobile tour companies in America. STAY AWAY FROM THEM....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter a horrible and avoidable accident involving Togwotee Adventures, we do not believe that this company provides adequate safety policies for their guests. Further, the manager of Togwotee Adventures, Jason Write, treated my family disrespectfully after this accident. For both of these reasons, I would recommend looking elsewhere for your tour or sled rental.
Over the holidays, our family went snowmobiling to Granite Hot Springs and as we put our helmets and gloves on to leave the hot springs, there was a sudden roar of a snowmobile, followed by a loud crash. The women that crashed the sled was in a Togwotee Adventures guided tour group and, after impact, was on the ground, wearing no helmet. I looked to the front of her crashed sled, and my mother was laying sideways and screaming in pain as her body was pinned between the snowmobile that crashed into her and her own. The sheer impact of the tour sledās force ripped open my motherās shin with a several inch gash deep enough to expose the bone underneath.
The Togwotee Adventures guide was attentive to the situation (despite some angry words to him) and worked quickly to get a first aid kit and help us bandage my motherās leg to minimize bleeding before starting the hour and half trip to the hospital. However, despite the guideās help, we are upset that he and his company enabled the conditions that allowed for this accident to happen. Why wasnāt the women better trained to understand how to stop the sled? Why wasnāt she wearing a helmet ā standard safety equipment for driving a snowmobile? Why didnāt the guide recognize her skill level and park the sled for her?
We understand that there is an inherent risk to this sport and that accidents do happen, however, the disrespectful and insensitive way my family was treated by this rental company the next day is the second reason for me writing this review. The day after the accident, my father went to Togwotee Adventures to resolve the insurance and liability issues for the medical costs and the costs to fix our broken sled.
Despite the tour guideās recommendation to talk to Jason Write, the Togwotee Adventure manager, my father was met by a receptionist who was reluctant to let him speak to Mr. Write. The receptionist gave my dad the name and number of the woman driving the sled, and only after some pushing, she called the manager to come speak to him. Mr. Write essentially said that they had no liability and their responsibility (by providing the contact information of the driver) was done. Without even asking about the condition of my mother or to see if she was ok, he made clear he did not want to discuss the situation further. Finally, Jason Write said that we should call the driver and that may help to make āall our dreams come true,ā insinuating that we were looking for some fast cash in a settlement. This, of course, was not the case and an unbelievable thing to say to the family member of an injured woman.
It is shocking to me that Jason Write would treat my father so rudely and without any sympathy for my mother, especially in a situation that easily could have been deadly had the sled struck her differently or if, perhaps, a child was standing there instead of a grown adult. This is not the Wyoming kindness I have come to expect and would not recommend this company...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUpdate 1-22-21 We started our morning out with the Teton Tour Company picking us up at the Wort Hotel right on time (7:45). We all got seated and met the other people who were going to be in our group for the day. The driver was our actual guide (Pat) and he explained how everything would go for the day. First we would go to the office in town and fill out the paperwork and as we did that he would make sure everyone had the proper size outerwear for the trip. The provided us with really nice jackets, ski pants and really nice boots to wear. Pat helped load all of our personal items back on the bus and off we went. We selected the Continental Divide Tour and the trip up to Togwotee Mountain Lodge took about 45min. Pat showed us moose, elk and even a couple of eagles on the way up. We got to the Togwotee and Pat explained how the sleds operated very well and no one had any questions afterwards. He allowed everyone to get all of their belongings and was very patient with us. Pat took us on about a 4 hour ride up into the mountains and let me tell you it was AWESOME. This was the coolest trip ever. We came back to the lodge and had lunch and the preselected menu was nice and the food was very good. Probable for the $250 a person we spent, the menu items could have been a little better but hey. Pat took us back out on the sleds after lunch for a couple of hours and we ended the trip back at the lodge. The took everyone back to the hotels and took our gear back with them. If you are looking for a guided snowmobile tour, Teton Tour Company is the way to go. This is 100% the best trip we have ever taken to the mountains. We are already fixing to book our family trip back here next year. Thanks Amanda for all your help and Thanks Pat for the great trip on the sleds.

1-15-2021 From the start I wanted to read reviews about this place. I did notice a couple of bad reviews and voiced my opinion to them via email. Not only did they respond, Amanda called me on a Sunday afternoon and visited with me for an hour about all of their services. After talking to her and looking everything over, we booked an upcoming trip. They made this process seamless and extremely easy. We are booked for this week and looking forward to it. Thanks Amanda and way to make a great first impression of a company.
