I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Samuel’s Men’s Wear. From the very beginning, my experience was far below expectations. I scheduled an appointment to try on a few different tuxedos to find the best one for my wedding, but from the start, I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience rather than a priority. The first issue came when a winter storm hit on the day of my appointment, and Samuel’s decided to close for the day. I never received any communication—no call or text—to let me know about the closure or to reschedule. I had to take the initiative to call them on Wednesday, only to be told that if I didn’t come in by Friday, I wouldn’t have the chance to try on my tux at all. Since I live in Springfield, it's not easy to just take off work on short notice. After fighting with them for three weeks to reschedule, I was met with poor customer service and an attitude that made it seem like the whole situation was my fault. But the poor experience didn’t stop there. One of my groomsmen had an appointment to be fitted, and Samuel’s called him that morning to confirm. When he arrived for his appointment, the doors were locked, and no one bothered to call him to reschedule. Additionally, we ordered ties for our ushers, and the week before the wedding, we were told the ties we’d selected were discontinued from three years ago. This forced us into a last-minute change. Every interaction with Samuel’s Men’s Wear—from the initial booking to dealing with their lack of communication and follow-through—was frustrating. I’ve also spoken to several other people who had negative experiences, and it’s clear that the new ownership has drastically diminished the quality of service. Merchandise may have changed, mens formal wear only ( at least at this time) for rent or purchase. Excellent quality materials, colors and brands. Hannah will assess, ask, answer and acquire your needed apparel easily with her experience.
