Sub Hub Market Fresh — Attraction in Jersey City

I just had one of the worst and most racist experience there not only does this store price gouge, but they are also prejudiced. I have been shopping there for two years. This is a small grocery store, so I am a known customer however, today the employee decided to accuse me of stealing to the point where he followed me down the street to accuse me of stealing. I was just at that grocery store and I made a purchase of water and a few other things I left and I decided to come back because I needed tissue. It was only five minutes later that I decided to come back to that store with the things that I just purchased prior to and I picked up the tissue and one other thing I paid for it, and I was on the way out the door. He then asked me if, I paid for the water. I told him I was just there and I already bought these things then I left. I was walking down the street. He followed me to ask me again if I paid for the items I showed him the receipt . While I was in the store, I realized that he was watching me while I was browsing and he was looking in my cart. I find that highly disrespectful. I have been going to the store for over two years spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars at that store and I will say for a fact, I will never be returning to that store again and I will never spend another dollar at that store. There is no way in heaven or hell that I will go spend my hard earn money in a place that is profiling me and, making me feel uncomfortable a complete hostile environment. NEVER again I am going to this store. I am glad someone else already wrote about this security plain clothes black guy who follows people around, thinking everyone is a thief. In addition to checking his video cameras in the front entrance, He follows people around all the time, men, women, young, elderly, mothers with children, black, white, Asian, etc....everyone. I have seen it with my own eyes how he behaves. And this is not even a big store, only has 5 short ailes, and yet this tall skinny blk security plain clothing guy follows us. So uncomfortable to be shopping in a place like that when they behave in such unethical way. He should be gone, but then again, he is probably doing what the owner is telling him, but he should know better. Treat others the way u like to be treated. This store is not even worthy guys, the prices are high, overpriced and poor quality, especially in the produce section. They even had to close their deli section because no one was going there to buy their cold cuts. My main complaint on this review is the inappropriate following of this blk security guy. Only reason I’m giving it two stars is because they actually have good products in the store. If not for that I’d give them ZERO stars. It’s VERY UNPROFESSIONAL to be profiling and following around your customers. If you are that worried about certain individuals then invest in a camera system. If you are Black (any age) please be advised...you WILL be profiled and secretly followed throughout that small store. They do it to me every time and it’s aggravating, the minute we allow these stores to choose who they want and don’t want in their stores watch how soon it divides communities as a whole. If anyone else had a similar experience I urge y’all to speak up! Let them know this...
