Hamilton Park — Attraction in Jersey City

The park is close to newport mall, library and newport rentals. The park is always eventful. There is a dog park section, basketball court where college tournaments are conducted in summer. There is nice play area for kids. The park has a small gazebo at the centre where cultural , educational events take place. Also can be used by public for birthday parties, yoga etc. there is also tennis court which is available on first come first serve basis. Max time for the court is 30mins and can be continued if no one else is waiting. The park has many small tables and benches which can be used to study , relax or small get togethers. This park is the reason we moved in to this neighborhood. It always has people around, be it having a picnic on the lawns, playing basketball, reading near the fountains or with their dogs at the dog park (of which they have two!)

Wonderful atmosphere, clean and has something for everyone. An AMAZING place if you have kids or a dog. They also have wonderful little shops across the street by the tennis courts. Hound about town is a personal favorite!

Truly a breath of fresh air in an otherwise urban sprawl. Hamilton Park is large enough to support many simultaneous activities at all times of year. All paths lead to the raised gazebo in the center, but there are many nooks to enjoy in any of the park's quadrants. For the most part a beautiful park, but there are many parts that are just grassless clay that cannot be enjoyed by anyone without getting dirty. In the summer, local residents long for a few more areas to enjoy that aren't just big spans of dirt.

Bird and squirrel watching is best at early hours. And the sounds of excited children playing and exploring can be found through all daytime hours.
