Dempsey's Jewelers — Attraction in Johnson City

Such a wonderful shop. They did amazing work on 3 of our antique rings. Two needed sizing (one with a decorative engraving that they were able to continue almost flawlessly - you have to really be searching to notice it's not 100% perfect but it's a close 99%. They really exceeded my expectations with the intricate design) and a repair on my wedding band from the 1890's. They found a second crack/detachment that another shop missed. I was able to see it once they pointed it out. No little magnifier required to see it. I caught the ring in a chain link fence.

They were also able to engrave our daughters urn after we had a second trimester loss - this was something that couldn't be done at other jewelers or trophy shops. We were so thankful to find a place capable of doing it. They truly did a wonderful job.

I also wasn't told that 1/4 sizes didn't exist here so that was nice. 6 is too small, 6.5 is too big and they happily accepted that I needed a 6.25 and my husband a 7.25.

We will definitely be back. They were also upfront with their pricing - there was no we'll take them and get back to you in a few weeks. It was about a 2 week turn around time. We wouldn't of even had a quote yet from the other independent jeweler. We had their quote at the time they took them and it was spot on. I thought their pricing was more than fair. Approx $210 after tax for all we had done. We also had 7 characters engraved...

There's a lot of things that I really love about Dempsy's, but before I expand on what specifically makes me give them five stars, I want to share the what I've experienced here.

As a Senior at ETSU I was celebrating my second promotion at work, so I decided that I wanted to treat myself to a new Pandora ring. Walking into the store, in all honesty, I had no idea what I wanted. I was greeted with kind folk that were eager to help me in any way possible. I had lots and lots of questions and whomever was helping me was extremely helpful and guided me through my purchase. Because of my positive experience, I ended up going back for a few more Pandora purchases here and there.

Fast forward to today ... I had "busted" the ring that once belonged to my grandmother. It's a customized diamond ring that she had created specifically for her pinky finger and had decided to give to me about a month ago. Once again, they came to the rescue! They were kind, helpful, informational and made me feel comfortable to leave this ring with them to fix.

Great place. Great collection (other than Pandora items, lol) and filled with kind, knowledgeable, respectful people that are eager to help and guide you through your jewelry needs. Love this place...

In my opinion, Dempsey’s Jewelers is the ONLY jewelry store in town to go to. Chris and his staff are phenomenal! The knowledge, customer service, and the jewelry selection are second to none!
