I will no longer shop at this store. The manager was working the day of the incident. He was also the problem. I came in with my kids. I look very white compared to the kids because their dad is a different ethnicity. I also have 2 children who look like me. I wanted to say this first so you can draw your own conclusions. I drew mine already. As we were venturing through the store, there were like 5 balloons right in the center of the store on very long strings. The strings were on the floor. Around 5 inches of string, to be exact. My daughter, the one that doesn't look like me, tripped over one of the balloons in the center of Golden Grotto. The manager walked over with a very hateful look, no words said, and jerked the balloons, not paying attention to see if any more strings were attached to my daughter. She fell when he jerked those balloons. I ask her, "Are you okay?" She said yes. He was walking away rapidly. She then picked up chunky and started walking towards me. She showed me. Then she was headed down a isle to show her sister. The manager walked rapidly over to her and said, " Give me that doll!" He then shuffled off. I told my kids, "Let's leave! I was too angry at this point! I waited 24 hours to call to talk to a manager. Well, that's where I found out he was the manager! I told him I wanted to talk to him about his behavior and reminded him of what I described here. I described my daughter to him. He then was sarcastic and said I had no clue that was your child. I said how? You seen me, her father, and siblings come in. I said my white daughter had the chunky first. Why didn't you take it from her! He said again I didn't know that was your daughter. He then said I had kids in my store earlier making a mess. He then said, "Do you know that chunky doll is 200 dollars?" I said, "Are you implying that you think we didn't have money to buy the doll?" Who told you that? He said that isn't what I said! I said to me it does! I said, "Let me ask you this, Do you have a child?" He hesitated a long time before I said, "Would you want some adult doing that to your daughter, and implying you look broke?" He said, "Look, I'm sorry. With sarcasm in his tone as if sorry was words coming from his mouth to silence me! Due to this half apology, he will do it again to someone else's baby! Being sorry is being genuine in your reply and in your actions. I don't feel that was expressed that day when I called to speak with him. He lost 6 customers permanently when he decided to...
Read moreIt's actually a great store . The reason for the lower review is the attitude of the girl employee . I walked in and the gentleman greeted me with enthusiasm . She immediately started barking orders to put on a mask . Next time she might want to say something like " sir , would you mind putting on a mask " instead of dictating rudely . She disappeared and I found what I wanted . The gentleman checked me out without any issues about me not wearing a mask . I'm...
