I will never take anything to uBreakiFix again. I took my laptop in to replace the backing plate and the screen because the hinge broke, leading to the screen breaking as well. Originally it was going to cost me around $1000, so I told them I could not do that. They were able to lower the price to around $400 but I would also have to sign up for a home + account. I was told it would take one week to fix it. After two weeks I got the call that it had finally been fixed and I could come pick it up. I understand that this is likely a shipping issue and out of their control but I did not receive a notice about this delay until I initiated the phone call. Upon picking it up I saw that they had forgot to install the sliding mechanism that covers the webcam. I was told to come back later today while they kept my laptop to fix it. When I came back later that day I then had to sign up to the home + plan that I previously mentioned. Once I came home, I immediately cancelled the plan as it is $30 a month and I do not deem it to be that valuable. That process was very time consuming and also required me listening to a sales pitch for home + that I have already heard two other times. Read moreDropped my computer off June 25th. I was told it would be 3 to 5 days for the screen to be in. Then 1 to 2 days after screen comes in the computer would be ready. Called and asked if my computer was ready they said they were trying to get an updated on the tracking gentleman said that the person who takes care of that had stepped out and would be back soon. That I would know by end of that day were the screen was. Never heard from them. Called again gentleman said the screen was sitting right in front of him and would be ready in a couple days. When I handed over my phone they took it back to make sure they could fix it and came back and said yes I had a bad charger port and they could fix it. Which then I left my phone with them. My phone was in great condition and had no cracks anywhere on it! Over 3 hours later I went back to get my phone only to find it had been dropped and cracked up. They then taped it up and told me my phone had many other problems that they couldn't fix. So I went in with a nice phone and one problem only to leave with a beat up phone and lots of problems!
