Dollar General — Attraction in Joshua Tree

A few issues with this Dollar General location. 1) The freezers have been empty for what almost 4 months but they are working just fine. Think about all the money they have and continue to lose because they (Corporate made a bad choice to not stock them until they upgrade them) Way to go and Not very smart! 2) This location stocks all kinds of garbage that does not sell and gathers dust until it gets thrown away or sent back to wherever it goes. 3) We need fresh produce and it would be great if CORPORATE would remove stuff that does not sell and bring in fresh fruits and veggies. 4) Keep things stocked up, way to many times they are out of stock and when the shipment finally shows up I find that they never ordered it. Plenty of junk food, chips, soda, candy but nothing healthy so I find myself having to drive 15 miles one...

This is a very convenient location for shopping in downtown JT. There is really no competition for 10 miles unless you want to count the gas stations. The staff is friendly and courteous. The huge problem with this location is that the people that do their ordering have absolutely no clue what they are doing. The shelves are frequently empty for key everyday items. Stopped for a bathroom bc I’m pregnant and traveling. The sign on the door said “for customers only - we are not a rest stop” I don’t mind buying something for a bathroom use but then I went in the bathroom is FILTHY and only had the tiniest bit of toilet paper, which was on the floor. I’m sure it’s tough stopping people from coming in just for a restroom; but if you expect people to buy something for the restroom, then it needs to be maintained. I’m not paying for garbage & I...
