Lovely, peaceful, family run, historic motel in a perfect location near Joshua Tree National Park. My husband and I arrived and were greeted warmly by owner, who gave us tips on visiting the National Park, and also insights into the local area. The motel was built in 1953, and has a mid-century unique vibe, complete with original pool and some fun décor.

We soon discovered a back patio, full of fruit trees with ample sitting areas, and whimsically designed cacti arrangements and garden statues. The owner gave us a nighttime tour of his solar light displays, which lit up the patio with changing colors and sparkles. Throughout our stay, we felt very welcomed, with genuine, kind hospitality. It was apparent that the owners take great pride in their motel, and their community.

We felt very safe staying here, and appreciated the owner's dedication to visitors' safety and comfort. There are strict quiet time rules at night, and no parties are allowed. We enjoyed our visit so much, that we extended our stay for an additional day, so that we could enjoy the pool and patio prior to our flight back to the east coast. This is a wonderful, rare place, and we are so glad we stumbled onto it. We are looking forward to returning.
