Visiting the Rie Munoz Gallery was the highlight of our trip to Juneau. The gallery is owned and operated by the artist's family, and Juan made our time at the gallery a really unique and special experience. We were able to browse through the prints while our daughter was occupied and entertained by some of the most well-behaved shop-dogs I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! We found the last copy of a print that a friend had been searching for, found the perfect addition to our own collection of Rie Munoz prints, and found gifts to bring home to our family. The gallery is a beautiful building, custom-built and designed with high ceilings and large windows to perfectly illuminate and display the original art of beloved local Juneau artist Rie Munoz: my mom's favorite artist. I don't know how it took me 8 years and 7 trips to Juneau to visit the gallery, but I'm looking forward to my next visit already!
