Updated 2025.04.08 Coming to Donna's for breakfast is still a nice meal. We split an order for a Denver Omelette , served with sourdough toast for a dollar extra. I like the blackberry jam for the toast here that I don't see elsewhere. There's a sign of extra charge of USD 0.50 per egg due to the shortage. So now, sharing an omelette will set us back USD 13 per person, or USD 26 if you eat this all yourself. Saw a slice of pie is USD 8, a slice of chocolate cake USD 15. Excellent service. I don't know how people could keep affording to dine out at these prices. Free WiFi, credit cards accepted.
Updated 2023.01.29 Ownership may have changed, quality is still good, quantity have gotten smaller, toast was burnt, we came for breakfast on Sunday afternoon, the place was very busy, almost full, we knew what we wanted to order but arriving, placed our order as soon as we were asked, took about ten minutes for our order to be delivered, about another ten minutes to split our Denver Omelette with burnt sourdough toast. That's very efficient service with a busy staff.
Donna's Restaurant nearby the airport serves large food portions. House salads $5.95 but they serve iceburg lettuce so not nutricuous. The omelettes are quite large, we split an omelette for two. Inquire what their soup of the day is. We had a bowl of chicken with wild rice, the chicken was dry, overcooked. It's more of what a typical diner would offer: large American portions for a large price. Recommend ordering one item to share. Free WiFi, breakfast, credit cards accepted, and actually close by the airport if you allow ample time after checking in to literally walk to the restaurant for a meal here instead of inside the airport. Read moreABSOLUTELY WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN TOWN!!! Female owner told me “go to hell, and never come back in here again.” (VERY unprofessional)
One of the younger guys who was cleaning the tables, started complaining about all the jelly/jam packages on the table. Well the small mess was made by 5 year old girl, who just so happened to be my niece. After 2 minutes of complaining about the jams on the table. I finally said “I would appreciate if you would stop talking about my niece. Thank you” The guy started to mock me, (others witnessed) when I had asked him kindly to stop. I went to the front desk to complain about the guy who was cleaning the tables. The owner lady interrupted me multiple times, telling me that he would never do that, and she knows him, and he’s the nice guy. I never got to finish my story as I was in the middle of talking, she slammed her hands down on the counter yelling at me “go to hell, and never come back in here again.” If you are going to complain about jam/jelly (unopened) on the table, maybe being a busser isn’t the job for you!!
Most definitely won’t be getting anything from such an unprofessional an unsanitary...
Read moreGot treated like trash by server Christina - I guess she's the owners daughter. Took the kids for some ice cream and my 11 yo daughter ended up being yelled at for not speaking loud enough, the rest of us got an attitude for not ordering quick enough. Then got refused service because she didn't like that we complained about the horrible service we were getting. Apparently she was having a bad day according to the other workers on staff and so she decided to take it out on a family who also has been having a rough time and was looking for a little joy.
I get food service can get tough, but really wow - I'm pretty speechless that my kids had to experience this.
Not coming back here again.
*Left this same review on Donna's Facebook page and got bashed on my review by a different server named Jason.
Donna's is not a good place and there are a lot of other restaurants in Juneau with better food and who are owned and operated by good people.
Don't waste your...
