Abacoa Golf Club — Local services in Jupiter

We recently relocated to the area about 3 months ago. After having a golf membership for several years, we decided we would like to look for another down here. I called in and asked if we could come visit and play a round at the course. I'll pay for the round, as I should but my family just wanted to ride in a cart with me and one other cart following behind. The gentleman said no problem and there wasn't with that part. He stated it would be a perfect day because it wasn't busy. In fact, when we checked in, there was no one ahead of us for 3 holes and no one behind us for three holes. PERFECT. We can really enjoy the course. I'm a low handicap player that plays quickly so no issues. However, on 3 occasions, we had twosomes, and threesomes that caught up to us, or were just skipping around holes making it much less enjoyable as now we're sitting in the heat waiting on people who weren't supposed to even be in front of us. We had no tour of the facility, showing us what they had to offer or any other benefits of being a member. No paperwork, no costs, no nothing. After finishing, the couple of gentlemen that normally are cleaning off clubs and assisting them off the carts were just chatting and laughing at the side. The course itself is nice and in pretty good condition. We would've just thought that a family membership with 3 kids looking for instruction should have been looked at a little different. By all means we don't feel we should be treated any differently than anyone else, and it might be that Abacoa Golf Club just doesn't strive to take care of their members or potential members like what we're used to. Wish things would have been better without the negative taste we now have...

Yes, absolutely recommend! I recently had my baby shower there and working with Heather Lopez the event coordinator was such a pleasure. She is not only professional, but on top of every detail. The day of the event she and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were fully accommodated. The venue, the food, the ambiance was just perfect. With having about 70 people there and every single one having nothing but compliments for us was just the icing on the cake to a perfect day! We can't thank Heather and her staff at Abacoa for a beautiful day. I would highly recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a memorable classy venue...

I’m currently playing the course as I write this review. The course itself is great. Nice layout. Challenging but fair for all skill levels. However, every time I play here the pace of play is awful, and no ranger insight to keep it up. I’m on the 4th tee box with 2 other groups waiting. 4 groups in total playing this hole. I don’t know how you can let a course get this backed up. For the price they charge, this course should be run MUCH better. If you are willing to play a 5.5 hour round and not be able to get in to a rhythm, this is your course. I’m very disappointed especially considering it costs $150+ to play here.... I will not...
