What a great place to visit. Not huge but well laid out and stocked with great memorabilia. The motor sports museum is on one side and the music museum is on the other side. Both are free admission but have separate donation containers. Super clean, super friendly. Push button for admission. My son the guitar player went crazy for an early rare fiberglass guitar and other items. Local N.C. musicians are featured from all genres. Lots of Mike Curb Records memorabilia. The motor sports side is stocked with vintage indy cars, sprints, stock cars and even Tim Grose's vintage corvette funny car. Well worth the trip. Close to...

This free museum in Kanapolis is a real sleeping gem. In one building, a racing car museum and NC Music Hall of fame of Mike Curb. Amazing the racing support and leadership in auto racing financed by his music empire. Cars from Indy and Cart racing, NASCAR, drag, and USAC racing. Many famous driver cars on display. My surprise and learning enjoyment was the NC Music Hall of Fame. Learned of so many music jazz, country, R&B, Bluegrass, Hip Hop, Gospel, Soul artists born in NC. Open M to F 10-4 and closed for lunch. Enjoy the museum, find your local restaurant for lunch and relax...

Great place to visit, the history in this building was great. Gene is one of the nicest people I met on my trip. When i was inside it started to rain (i was on a motorcycle) Gene told me i can just wait the rain out gave me updates on the rain. Once the rain lighten I told him I was leaving he showed me a exit that was next to my motorcycle so i didn't have to walk in the puddles or the rain. then he asked are you sure you don't want to wait until the rain stops, i told him i had to go. Thanks Gene i had a...

The NASCAR section was wonderful but also the music awards section was so interesting. The staff were so friendly and helpful and welcoming. The museum is free and donations are greatly appreciated. Opening hrs are until 2pm and the building is closed from 12 noon to 1pm for lunch. Wonderful disability access and rollators provided if required. Totally worth visiting.
