Like all reviews state, this place is the most dysfunctional apartment complex. It is overly expensive for nothing. The amenities are trash, the elevators are always broken, there is dog urine and feces all around the hallways and elevators, and the leasing office is always impossible to communicate with as they will randomly close the office with little notice or lock the door as they chat inside amongst themselves.
From the very beginning, there were constant issues. When sending in my application to live here, there were several complaints about the proof of income asking for several pictures of the same document for pointless reasons such as "there is a fold in the scanned document" requiring several scans of the same document for no reason. Additionally, the staff is useless and unhelpful, the walls are paper thin, you can hear everyone in the rooms next to you and in the hallway, and those outside at the breweries/baseball game.
Regarding moving out, it is a money making scheme as they require an email 60 days prior to moving out although the lease states the end date. Even if you send this email notice in, they will claim they never received it and give you various answers about the situation. Benjamin told me he would change the date after I provided evidence of sending in the notice, but lied and I never heard back from him again. The assistant manager then told my father that I never turned in a notice, which was clearly not the case. Jay, the manager, is rude, unprofessional, and emails tenants, who have never had an issue with any other apartment complex and caused no issues while living one year here, like they are lesser than himThe staff as a whole is rude, disregarding, and will lie to your face. Always make sure to have ANYTHING they say in writing because they will deny they ever said it.
Additionally, the regional manager of the southeast for the rental company is Jay's family member making it extremely difficult to contact someone with unbiased input regarding this issue and they will try to force you into paying rent although you have already moved out and sent in a notice because "they can't find the email on their end." Considering I have returned the keys and moved out and they are still requesting that I pay rent, I find it possible that they could already be renting the room to someone else while also requesting that I pay rent for the unit.
I will be reaching out to vice president of the company as reaching out to the regional manager is pointless as they will always side with Jay due to family associations. Stay away from this...
Read moreI have been living here for 2 months now and let me say you can’t judge a book by its cover 95% of those reviews are lies and if I was to listen to them I would of missed out on a nice apartment. Never had a problem with the elevators, never seen dog pee or poop in the elevators or hallways, the leasing office is very nice and responds pretty fast for the most part sometimes it’ll be 24 hours for them to respond if you email after hours which is normal, and I was in a time crunch and they got me approved and moved in within 2 days so I’m not really sure what these other people are talking about. The amenity center has a pool table, shuffle board table, darts, tables to sit and a big sectional with a big flat screen tv. The walls aren’t paper thin like the other reviews say, I can assure you that I don’t hear anything in my apartment but I’m also on the back side of the complex I’m not on the stadium side or pool view. The only reason they aren’t getting a 5 star from me is because to me I feel as if they hired the cheapest trash company out there, it’s like pulling teeth to get the trash guy to take your garbage and as of Friday I’m on day 4 where he’s taken everyone’s trash on my floor but mine and they charge $30/month for the service which is not optional or believe me I would of cancelled it a long time ago, other than the trash vendor no complaints. I have also reached out to the trash company’s corporate office in hopes for a better turn around so this 4 star can get changed to a 5 star!
Update: I have now changed my review to a 5 start thanks to valet trash corporate office and Vida’s leasing office for helping me have a better turn around, haven’t had a problem with trash since. I’ve also spoke with the trash guy shortly after the turn around as I felt bad for confronting him, he is a very nice guy just trying to make income like the rest of us!
Everything above is still true however, not sure if they changed management but this place has gone down hill very badly. Can’t wait until my lease is up! This place is nothing but a bunch of scammers that think they don’t have to listen to the laws and rights of NC but Karma is a bi*ch and they’ll soon be paying! Found out they did change management and Jay and his assistant are no longer here which makes sense on why this place has gone so far down hill so quickly, do not recommend this place at this time maybe once new management gets some training and can proof they can do the job correctly and fairly. Everyone else from vendors, office staff and Maintence are great just not management...
Read moreLived here for two years and if I hadn’t missed the deadline for telling them I was moving out it would’ve been only one. This building is made of paper. You will hear anything and everything both from the neighbors and the street if you’re facing outside of the building. Like to sleep in? Good luck every weekday around 8 am the park service crew uses a leaf blower to clear the sidewalks and they leisurely walk it outside your windows for about 45 mins. Want to sleep early? Good luck if you have inconsiderate neighbors like my downstairs one who is so old and hard of hearing she blasts her tv from 11-3 am regularly. The building knows she’s a problem and does absolutely nothing other than occasionally send the courtesy officer. They’ll just make you deal with it. By far this is the worst place I’ve ever lived. Stay away. Also take notice most of the five star reviews are from people that have never even lived here, just people who toured and decided to leave a review to help their application. The average of 3.5 is low regardless but would be even lower if only real residents...
