Worlds of Fun Village — Attraction in Kansas City

Well, I had to give this place at least one star it makes you if I give it zero stars I would the place was disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. We got there checked in and went to our room is stunk is really bad and it was dirty. Went to the office she came down and she said yes it smells like dirty old coffee and it is dirty. She was very nice and apologetic. She moved us to a different room. We moved to that room later on that evening. We went to bed. My daughter woke me up, screaming at 2 o’clock in the morning. There was a bug on my bed. I got my family up and out of that place really fast. I then proceeded to go to the office where security talk to me, they were like we don’t know what you want us to do. The only thing we can do is move you to another cabin. Oh hell no I’m not moving to another cabin. The places are disgusting and if one has bedbugs, they all do just like cockroaches if one has them Every place does so. They called their head supervisor to see what they can do if anything because I was like no I need to talk to somebody induct somebody now so he was upset when he talk to me. He said that it was 4 o’clock in the morning and he couldn’t do nothing And I would have to wait. He was accusing me of yelling at him mind you I’m bowling. My kid is bawling as well. We’ve never experienced this and I never want to again we were there to have a good time to have a little vacation before she goes back to school so instead we got to stay outside the rest of the night from 2 o’clock in the morning till about 9:15 10 o’clock in the morning then the lady came they I should ask inside real fast and the lady said I’m gonna refund you your stay and I’m gonna refund you your tickets for WORLDS OF FUN. I was like gee thanks cause we only stayed with you guys for a couple hours and then we stayed the rest of the night outside, but she did say you guys could still go to WORLDS FUN the next two days I wanted to let my kiddo have some kind of fun so we went to WORLDS OF FUN for a little bit. We’re gonna stay too long because we had no sleep so when we got done, we went back cause she told us to to see what they were gonna do about her stuff she wasn’t there. There was another guy named Toby or something like that Todd or something And he told us that he wasn’t gonna do nothing for our stuff. He offered me that his offer was, I could wash my laundry in there facilities and they would reimburse me that time that way they would reimburse me if I use their washer and dryer mind you I’m a tall person so if I wash my clothes, I can’t dry them they will shrink. I can’t wash them and then take them home because I live too far about that time they would stink And you want to wash them on the hottest water you can and then you want to put them in the dryer on the hottest setting you can otherwise you’re probably gonna get bedbugs yourself at your house so I said no that’s not gonna work and I told him why it wasn’t gonna work. He said I will reimburse you for your pillow. That’s it just because my pillow cannot be washed my pillow if it gets washed, it turns into a ton of bricks and it’s over. It’s about $1 $81 or more this pillow is not cheap but ever since I got my first one like this I’ve had to have one every since if not, I get headaches I get migraines I get sick. My body hurts. I get migraine so bad that it wakes me up and I’m puking just what happened to me last night. I am dreading going to sleep tonight. My new pillow was supposed to be here today, but it got held back so now they say tomorrow, but I cannot believe how somebody as a company would not want to do something different. Replace some of my stuff do something. I mean this guy even called me the next day and said he wanted to know what I wanted to do with my stuff because it had new tags on it well first of all why are you looking at my stuff? It’s not your stuff and you told me I have a video that they would not touch my stuff until they heard back from the BBB even if they had to move it, my stuff was bagged up. He shouldn’t have known what...

This has to be the worst family trip we have ever had. We always look forward to go to Worlds of Fun because this place is amazing, but the Village gave us problems from the moment we got there. When I checked in I advised the lady I wanted to pay in cash, and she advised she could not take cash but allowed me to pay $100 from my card and the rest of the balance, which was $172, I could pay in cash first thing in the morning.

Terrific, I did that and we checked into the cottage when we got a call from the same lady saying that she could go ahead and take the cash. No problem, we went back to the office asap and paid the rest of the balance in cash. As we got back home I tried to pay for stuff at a CVS and my card got declined. When I called the bank they said we were charged $100, and $172 from Worlds of Fun. So this is great, I paid $272 on my card and gave the lady $172 cash, Worlds of Fun has $172 of MY MONEY, and now me and my family had NO MONEY for the rest of the day!!! On top of that, during the night there were shady people walking around our cottage about 10pm when we got home. When we were inside there was a bang on the wall that scared my son. I called security and talked to our neighbors who said they saw the same shady people having walked around the area and the security went to investigate, but left us terrified as to what was going on. The next day I told the manager what happened, and they told me the unauthorized charge would fall off sometime and offered me snack and drink vouchers to Worlds of Fun. Are you serious? I didn't any money left in my bank account and we were up all night because of the scare we had and all they could offer me is snack and drink vouchers???

I was also told they would see if they would even offer me any type of discount due to the inconvenience but told me I would have to wait until the next morning. Since I live 3 hours from Kansas City, they promised me they would call or email me first thing in the morning to let me know what they were going to do. I waited until 12:30pm the next day and no call or email so I called them and spoke to a Jim who said the manager is busy. "WOW" too busy to help with a previous customer who had BIG CHARGE taken out of account, but obviously not busy enough to take my money when I first made the reservation. Jim told me he left my information with her and she would call me for sure by the end of the day. I called back at 6:30pm and found out the manager, i think her name is Victoria, had already left the office. At this moment I am speechless, because they won't help me in any way, and Worlds of Fun STILL HAS MY MONEY!

This was an absolutely horrible trip. My parents go every year to the Village to stay as well as most of my friends and family that go to Worlds of Fun. I will definitely not be recommending this place to anyone to stay at anymore.

Warning to anyone out there that may be thinking of staying here. I hate to say it, because I used to love this place, but it doesn't seem like management/wof cares about the customers at this location, especially when they do...

We stayed at Worlds of Fun Village RV Park in Missouri from August 20 to September 3, 2023, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This hidden gem offers a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and entertainment.

Upon arrival the staff at this RV park went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay for every guest. From the moment of check-in to any inquiries or assistance needed during our stay, the team was friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to help. Their dedication to customer service adds a personal touch that sets this RV park apart.

We were in site 68, a spacious concrete pull-through site equipped with full hook-ups, a patio featuring a picnic table, and a standing grill. The bonus of this site was that it was at the end, so we had large beautifully groomed grass areas on either side of us, giving us a sense of privacy. However, the only drawback to enjoying this prime site was its proximity to the traffic intersection. Consequently, the tranquil ambiance that one might experience closer to the office was somewhat compromised, as the occasional noise from passing traffic was noticeable.

The facilities are top-notch. The RV sites are spacious, well-maintained, and equipped with all the necessary hookups. The amenities, include well-maintained bathrooms, laundry facilities, and a seasonal Outdoor Pool & Hot Tub, along with the Convenience Store & Gift Shop, collectively enhance the overall sense of comfort and convenience. The pet-friendly nature of the park is evident in the abundance of open grassy areas for leisurely strolls. However, it's crucial to note that while these spaces offer freedom, they lack fencing, and given the nearby traffic, it's advisable to keep pets securely leashed to ensure their safety.

The RV Park is strategically located near the thrilling Worlds of Fun amusement park, making it an ideal choice for families and adventure seekers. The proximity to the park allows guests to enjoy all the fun and excitement without the hassle of long commutes.

Regrettably, our initial intention of maximizing our time at the park throughout the week during our stay did not unfold as anticipated. Little did we know, the park had already shifted to its off-season schedule a week before our arrival, limiting its operation exclusively to weekends at specific hours. It's advisable for future visitors to carefully plan their trip, taking this schedule change into consideration. Despite the limitation on the number of days we could enjoy our time at the amusement park, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we spent there and had an absolute blast!!

Beyond the basics, Worlds of Fun Village RV Park offers a variety of amenities that cater to different preferences. Whether you're looking to relax by the pool, enjoy a day at the amusement park, or gather around the fire pit in the evenings, there's something for everyone.
