Poipu Shopping Village — Attraction in Kauai

Nice little place for a break. Close to lots if resorts. Has a general store, several gift shops (some are pretty $$$, but that's to be expected), a Starbucks, a gelato place, a juice place and about half a dozen restaurants. A nice little courtyard in the middle to relax and watch chickens....if that's your thing. Our favourite places here are Puka Dog, Starbucks, Whaler's General Store and Sand People.

Many new shops and restaurants over the last few years. Some old favorites are gone (such as the toy store), but many are still there (Whalers and the gelato shop). Many places are short-staffed, so be patient and kind to the staff - you're rich enough to go on vacation, they are working hard for not a lot of money in a place that makes Manhattan look cheap. Show some aloha.

I would not do my business at this store who just suspended a U.S. Military reservist because he did not have reliable transportation. This Starbucks hates military and this is why they are trying to sabotaged an employer there who have serve in the military and is still active duty. I am requesting everyone both military and non military please do not go in this store and conduct business. They are in hot water. we do not want to support a business who disrespect men and women...
