The condo complex and location are very nice. We stayed in unit seven, which was a two bedroom. I would also say that that is a good location. However, the way the unit was represented and what our experience was while we were there were very different. ||Prior to arriving, I reached out to the parish staff to get some information on things to do locally and resources while we were staying there. The information they provided was out of date and not helpful at all. One of the things we asked for was a gym where we could go to use weights since there’s no gym at the condo complex and there was nothing available according to them. Then on our last day, we were at the koala shopping center for breakfast and there was a big sign for a strength training shop where you could just go in and pay for whatever time you go in there. That is exactly what we were looking for, but they didn’t know anything about it apparently.||While we were there, we had problems with the Internet and the TVs and the air conditioning. They came out multiple times to try to resolve the problems and were not successful. And one instance the air conditioning unit had a filter in it that was so filth it looked like it had not been changed in over a year. You would think that they would be doing regular maintenance on these units. Wi-Fi in the smaller bedroom upstairs never worked. We were told in advance that there was a smart TV downstairs. We could not figure out how to get that to work and so we called for their repair people to come out and we were told that the remote for the TV was missing and they were going to order one and have it to us the next day which we never did get. The air conditioning in the master bedroom would not work properly until the very last nigh when we were there when we were finally given accurate directions on how to use the unit. The posted instructions were not correct. I would reach out to them in the morning regarding the air conditioner, not working and we would not see anybody until the end of the day. This happened three...
Read moregreat condo, well constructed and appointed and very large. Beautiful view, ocean only 50'-75' away from terrace. I was in Unit 5. The problem: the street and a sidewalk is right in front of unit with a hedge blocking it, so you really just see the ocean. There is a small public parking area right across the street on shoulder where a number of vehicles can park. Kids come and park there to party at all hours of the nite, yelling, laughing, doors slamming, etc. They are also out there in afternoon if you are trying to take a nap. Had to call the police Tues.,(only arrived late Mon. afternoon). Last nite at 2am, a group parked to party and of course woke me out of a dead sleep. Got up and went outside and told them people were trying to sleep and if they didn't leave, I was going to call the police. They left along with yelling out an expletive while pulling off. Got up this morning at 7a and the there were 2 utility type trucks parked across the street obstructing the view. The management of this resort should really petition the town to make this a no parking area as this is a luxury resort and quite expensive. People on vacation shouldn't have to get up in the middle of the nite to call police or not be able to take a nap during the day if they want because of the noise element, not when you're paying $400 a nite or more. This is totally absurd that this goes on. A residential neighborhood would never tolerate this. Plan on talking to the manager today. If it wasn't for the noise of people/kids parking right in front of your condo it could be a great place. I can't be the only one that has had this problem with units oceanfront, can't believe something has not been done about this...
Read moreWe rented 2 1-bedroom units July 16-23, 2016. The location and the layout of the facility itself is fantastic. Every unit has ocean views. However, the housekeeping and staff in the front office made our stay here extremely unpleasant and I would not recommend others to stay here. Each unit gets 1 linen change for a weeks stay. We had a handful of towels in our room upon arrival smelled like mold and you could tell were dirty. I had these placed on the floor on the day of our cleaning as we were told if you had any personal items on the towels they would not be changed. I cannot begin to tell you how disgusted I was to come back that day and find these same dirty moldy towels were placed back on the rack for our use! This was discovered after getting out of the shower and grabbing the bath towel to my face. I wish I had the owners contact info to let them know how dirty the unit was as well upon arrival. I do not believe a vacuum had been used in months judging by the hairs that were everywhere in the bathrooms and bedrooms. When we called the front office to ask for clean towels we were met with raised voices telling us that we had personal items on the towels.
My brother rented a 2-bedroom unit during the same week. Only the bedrooms have AC. The power went out in his bedroom and he was told by the staff "sorry, we have no idea why the power won't work". It took almost 6 hours for someone to come and fix the situation.
It is unfortunate that the staff does not address problems as they arise and instead they get defensive. Someone needs to tell them that they are in the hospitality industry. If it weren't for the staff, you can't beat the layout of the units...
