Real Steel Fitness — Attraction in Keene

This is by far the best gym I have ever worked out in. The atmosphere is always welcoming and comfortable, the gym is always clean and very well maintained and the people that work in the office are always friendly and greet you when you come in.

I read another review that said there are twice yearly fees and a high processing fee. Please take note from someone who has actually stepped foot in this gym. that is not the case. There is a ONCE yearly fee and the processing fee is chump change compared to other places. When I joined, the lady in the office told me about the fees and when I would have my yearly maintenance fee, as well as explained why there is a small processing fee. She was 100% transparent and honest with me! As far as I know, all gyms charge these things and this is nothing new in the fitness world. I also know they tend to run specials where the processing fee is completely waived! I believe the people who run this gym are honest and straight forward and they do their best to have your best interest in mind. Pros:

Good quality equipment, good variety. Can do pretty much anything here.

Seldom too crowded to workout.

Fellow members are fairly considerate and most understand good gym etiquette.

When broken, equipment is repaired quickly which is rare for many gyms, even very good ones.

Cons:

The temperature in the summer is almost unbearable. I find myself cutting workouts short or skipping because it's just too hot in there. If anything causes me to cancel, it would be this.

The gym is kinda dirty. I see they do clean to a degree, but it seems like only the locker rooms.

The equipment is arranged in a very haphazard way.

I was in New Hampshire visiting family for a week and decided to get a week pass to the Keene location. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcomed by staff, and even other members. Kalee, the manager is great. Very personable. Upfront about costs. Very willing to explain everything to you as you go. The facility itself is in phenomenal condition - very clean.
