A TOUCH OF ROSE DOMINICAN SALON — Attraction in Kendall

I think it’s the third/fourth time I book an appointment with a specific person and later get taken care of by someone else. So what’s the purpose of making appointments. I’m writing this review because of the lack of customer service. I arrive to the salon, and it’s clear my hair dresser is over booked so while the receptionist washed my hair she calls a gentlemen and tells him if he can do my hair. No one ask me, or tells me. I had to question it. I think it would have been professional if the hair dresser would have apologized for the inconvenience since she was washing someone else’s hair right next to me, but she didn’t even look my way. I have very curly hair and was clearly there for a Dominican blow out. Although the gentlemen did not do a terrible job he clearly didn’t know how to blow dry my hair properly and I had to request he put some heat protection while flat ironing my hair. I’ve never experienced that before. In addition, he was encouraging me to cut my ends. So I agreed, told him to cut the tips and he said once my hair was completely straightened we would see how much more to cut. At the very moment he was done the receptionist told him some clients walked and in and there went the attention to my hair. He drenched my hair in some oil and said we were done. I asked him about cutting more and he said well You told me you didn’t want to cut anymore. It was clear he wanted to jump to the next customer and cared less about the outcome of my hair. I also didn’t push the hair cut because he seemed rushed. When it was time to pay they had the audacity to try and charge me $35 for a 2 min trim to my ends. Then she asked him how much “he would leave” the hair cut. As if he’s doing me a favor. I think I’ve given this place to many opportunities, and it’s not...

I shouldn't even give this place a star. The owner is very unprofessional . First day I met her ( Rose) she was late over an hour. Which isnt the best first impression. I asked her for rose gold and she said she can make it happen . Four hours later came out with red hair. I gave her the benifit of the doubt since of course ,she just inherited the new shop and didn't have all her tools and materials. She asked me to come back that she has the material fix it. My appt was for the Wednesday after . That Wednesday she makes me reschedule , so we agreed for Friday . Friday comes and last minute she change's the location to her original location . Now I am late, GPS through me off. So I am okay no biggy. She applies the bleach once more to my hair leaves it over an hour. I leave this shop at midnight , I immediately hate it , not even close to what I want but I was exhausted and I already could feel my hair ruined and damaged . I washed my hair out after 4 days I looked like a dam carrot, and it was coming out in clumps. I wouldn't let this lady touch a Barbie doll head. I got lucky I am knowledgeable and my late stylist[ RIP] taught me well, and had help of someone else , and she saved my hair. If you want to pay load of cash to look like Angelica's doll from the rugrats this is where you need to go. The shop that she took over is going to end up going out of business most of the new clients have left some with similar experience. I rather dye my hair with Walmart brand dyes and cut my hair with safety scissors then let this witch touch me or my...

So I came to this salon because my hairdresser had an emergency and couldn't see me. I went by the reviews, I have really curly hair and from experience with a Dominican stylist I felt confident that they would know how to treat my hair. Everything was going great, Mari Carmen I believe was the name of my hairdresser. She was blow drying my hair and it was just so fast I was impressed how in less than one hour she cut my "tips" and blow dried my hair and even curled my tips a bit. It was strange because I've always lasted atleast two hours for a blow dry because my type of hair needs to be dried very very good or the humidity will ruin it. I left very happy and confident, on my way home I stopped at Walgreens and when I got in my car after Walgreens I looked in the mirror and I had my hair so frizzy, it wasn't raining it wasn't even that humid outside. By the time I got home this was all in about 30 minutes after leaving the salon, I had no curls and my roots were curling up. I have never wasted my money as I did here.

I was also very upset by how much she cut my hair, I said one finger's length of cut and she cut about five fingers.

I had to iron my own hair at home and use my own curling iron to curl my tips again. I did a better job and my hair lasted all night at the wedding I had to attend.

It is very disappointing, she was either tired and wanted to finish fast or didn't feel like working. I don't know about the other hairdresser but Mary Carmen is not...
