I currently reside in an area of Newark where crime is a problem, and, as a renter, I don't have a garage, so I have to park my car on the street, which makes me concerned about the possibility of my car being stolen. Granted, my car is not new, it's a 2012 Honda Fit, but it's in excellent condition, and it looks good, so it could be a target. That said, after doing some research on different devices and gadgets that prevent car theft, I concluded that a relay switch, also known as a kill switch, would be my best option. A relay switch "can prevent a car from being stolen by stopping the vehicle from starting. It's a simple device that's hidden inside the car and can be wired to prevent the starter from engaging. Even if a thief damages the ignition switch or steering column, the kill switch will still prevent the car from starting." My Honda Service Advisor recommended Auto Action Technologies, so I sent the company an e-mail to inquire about car theft prevention products, and I was very impressed when I received a quick response from Joseph (President) who is very knowledgeable, who answered all my questions, and who asked Lia (Retail Sales Representative) to communicate with me, and to schedule an appointment for me. Shortly thereafter, Lia called me, and we came up with a date and time for my appointment to have a relay switch installed. When I arrived for my appointment, I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly and warm reception I received from Lia who smiled, greeted me warmly, and offered me my choice of coffee, tea and/or water. In addition, while my car was in the shop, she checked on me a few times to see how I was doing, which was very thoughtful. The waiting area is very nice. It has central air, high ceilings, comfortable couches and chairs, and a nice television with remote control, so that if you don't like what's on, you can change the channel. Junior (Head Technician) installed the relay switch. He was very courteous, helpful, and professional, and he took the time to explain to me how the relay switch works, and he gave me different options as to where it could be located in my car's interior, which I really appreciate. I'd also like to recognize Marco (Shop Manager) and Cesar (General Manager) for their courteousness, helpfulness, and professionalism. In short, my experience with Auto Action...
Read moreI visited Auto Action to install rear back-up sensors for my beautiful, new Sunstone red Q60 on 4/1/21. The first word that comes to mind as I opened the front door and went is was: "Stunning". This company is the real deal. I have a hard time prioritizing these words but they are Quality, Professionalism and Honesty. Try finding that combination anywhere else. I dare you! I was extremely concerned with the rear sensor installation on my new Q60. Joe, one of the owners resolved my concern by taking me into their immaculate shop, showed my the pre-painted sensors that matched my car's color code exactly. Not to mention the fact the he personally took several personal calls on his cell discussing the process. The technician clearly explained the speaker installation, operation and much more.
After the installation, Joe came out and demonstrated the sensor functioning until I was about to run him over in reverse (of course that didn't happen, but he wanted to be sure that I knew the various sounds).
I can't even describe the high quality and personable friendliness of the entire staff. Everyone there was friendly, polite and went out of their daily routines to spend time with me while the sensors were being installed. I felt bad bringing in my Q60 because this is a Ferrari/McLaren/Lamborghini quality shop. They do such a variety of "all things" cars. Auto Action is super well known (now I know why) and recommended by so many dealers and others. If you need anything (and you have no idea how much they can do four you), anything at all you MUST call/visit Auto Action. Forget calling, just go there, visit and be amazed. Trust me, because I'm like Reagan "Trust but Verify". Auto Action will not disappoint. Auto Action is just a true diamond - the real...
Read moreMy vehicle had sagging headliner that I needed replaced as close to the OEM look as possible. After finding an old review that someone, with my same vehicle, expressed their positive experience with having the same issue taken care of, I reached out to Auto Action. I was asked to provide a couple photographs of the condition of my headliner, to which they responded promptly that they could take care of it for me. They told me it would take a couple days, and to my surprise, they even offered a loaner car, free of charge, during the time they had my vehicle. Needless to say, that is a MAJOR convenience that was not offered by other places I received quotes from. Not to mention, the price was extremely competitive as it was. I was thinking, “what’s the catch?” but it was as simple as it sounds.
They did a great job with the headliner and finished on schedule, as promised. For those that don’t know, it sounds simple but there is a lot of work that goes into removing and replacing a headliner, including taking care of the interior pieces that need to be removed and reinstalled without damaging/scratching interior parts, especially when you are an OCD car enthusiast, such as myself.
They offer a plethora of services and after having the great experience I had, I will inquire if anything I need for the car in the future is something they do. If they do it, I will opt to go to them knowing they will take care of me and take pride while doing it.
Actually writing this review from their shop, as I decided to have them tint my vehicle as well. They again offered a free loaner car, but I opted to hang out in their nice lounge for a few hours while they tint the vehicle.
Not normally a reviewer, but this place certainly...
