They will RIP YOU OFF! You’d better pay attention to what aisle prices say they are & what they actually charge on checkout. They say “they have a new system they are learning”, then when asked why they aren’t aware they are overcharging they say they do know how to run the system, & it isn’t that. They are running the system alright. Then when I asked why the refund was not showing up on my Statement they said “they did their part, & my Bank decides when to apply it to my Account”. News to me, apparently they don’t know how that works either. Mind you, I didn’t even get out of the Store before I checked my Receipt, & still got the run around. Unfortunately I didn’t get the red haired salesclerk’s name that was so rude & condescending when she looked down her nose & said it’s only $6.52. Yes, & I’m a 62 y/o Widow & that amount will buy a month’s worth of one of my medications. I suggest she needs to learn how to speak with customers Her main retort was “I don’t know what you want me to do, obviously there’s nothing I can say to satisfy you”. Then she promptly turned her back on me. The AG’s Office investigates Businesses for showing one price, & charging a higher price. If they have 300 Customers a day , overcharge then by 7.00 each, that is a daily overcharge of $350.00, , x 7/days a week is $2,450.00/week, $9,800.00/month which translates In to a huge year end overcharges in the amount of $117,600. in just 1/yr.! STAY AWAY...
Read moreI LOVE this place ya'll. Have spent hours and LOTS of $$$ in here. HOWEVER, my most current visit, Monday, Sept 9th, could've been my last. I've been going to this place for 24+ yrs. This time, my black husband (I'm white...we're both Americans) went in with me. While I bought ammo,(an absolute awesome experience) he went and looked for a water bottle/jug. We began to depart the store & I got sidetracked looking at clothing. He began looking at caps. A store clerk, middle-aged white woman, honed in on my husband. She never left his side. Thought she was being covert. He walked towards me and encouraged me to "wind-it-up". When the woman realized we were "together", her entire demeanor changed and she began to offer to help us! DAMAGE DONE!! Shame on you! My heart broke for my husband and for those other's who continue to experience such distrust and prejudice. HORRIBLE!! But as we ALL stand before the Lord someday, we shall answer! Thank you Lord from the bottom of my heart for allowing me NOT to...
Read moreThe place is over priced and the service is lacking. The gentleman who rang us up was very nice however he was struggling to ring up our bundles of wood and there was NO ONE around to help. We waited ten minutes before someone finally walked by the register and he was able to ask for assistance. Keep in mind there are probably 20 other employees around doing absolutely NOTHING. I noticed several of them standing around chatting with one another and a couple hanging out on their phones. Once we finally got rung up I looked at the receipt and realize we were overcharged for my birch planter. When I told the cashiers they didn’t say one word or offer a refund for the overcharged amount. We used to love this little place. We would always go to Gibsons when visiting from Austin. After moving to Kerrville and visiting the store a couple times recently we have definitely changed our minds and sadly we will not...
