I've viewed this place from afar for many years just as a short memory of Jesus and a highlight spot for me during my truck driving days. However,I was clearly wrong in my assessment of the huge Cross you see when you enter Kerrville cruising down I- 10 W...This place is a Historic Landmark, for me,because naming it a park or community meditation area just doesn't give the place the true meaning and respect it deserves. This is a place I believe everyone should have on their Bucket List in life . The Cross is beautiful! The statue of Jesus on the Horse with His return is , also, a favorite of mine, as well. The. whole area just gives one a sense of peace that was just what I needed .The view from the top of the area is just breath taking as you view miles of hill country from stop of this historic area. There's plenty of prayer dropoff locations. You bring your prayer requests written with a black marker on rocks.Yes,I did say rocks.I wrote all of my prayer requests down, and, I placed them in the "Hope " section of the Texas Landmark . There's plenty of other sections that one can choose from to place requests There's , also, plenty of other attractions, as well. This is definitely a place that is child friendly and for everyone in the family. In my opinion , everyone on the Globe should come at least once to see this beautiful Landmark. There's no charge , or, admittance fee. It is equipped to handle persons with disabilities. Parking, assistance with disabled ones is readily available . The Landmark doesn't have paid staff. Everyone who works, comes in on a Volunteer basis. This is just a sight to behold, and, I will definitely return...
Read moreAfter a group baptism, we visited The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden in Kerrville on a Sunday afternoon. Arriving around 5 p.m., we were met with a serene and beautifully maintained space, rich in history and reverence. The garden itself presents an immersive experience in biblical history through its statues, the cross, and scriptures. It’s truly a place where faith and peace converge, allowing visitors to pause, reflect, and connect with God.
The massive cross, a central feature, is framed by a beautiful fountain and calming Texas Hill Country views. The cool air and scenic landscape create a tranquil environment perfect for prayer and meditation. In various parts of the garden, visitors can paint or write prayer requests on rocks, adding a personal, heartfelt touch to the experience.
The garden also offers information and guidance for both new believers and those visiting on a spiritual journey, inspired to be here by God’s call. Having driven past Kerrville countless times, we never knew this hidden gem was here—now it’s a must-visit recommendation for anyone passing through the area.
Entry to the garden is free, with donations accepted and appreciated but never required. Whether you're a Christian or simply a nature enthusiast, this spot is well worth the stop. With its respectful atmosphere, beautiful setting, and the serenity it envelops, The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden offers a unique place to relax, reflect,...

We had came back hoping to see the rocks at the same place we placed them at. That’s why we had them engraved so they could Last a few years and hoping they would leave them there for us to come back and visit every year. I know nothing lasts but this was special for us and I just wish the grounds keepers could have left them there so we could have seen them at least once. There are some rocks that are there and you can’t even read what they say. Why were our rocks removed? (Which were engraved but removed) I don’t understand!! Here are some photos of my siblings and daughters. (My son couldn’t make this trip)Also were we placed the rocks at The picture with my son was taken...
