Would I return? Yes and I’d recommend it to anyone needing peace or perspective.
While staying in San Antonio, we wanted to get out of the city for a day and decided to drive up Highway 10 toward Kerrville. With the recent event in that area, our original goal was to help however we could—volunteer, assist, do something useful. Along the way we passed several convoys and service trucks, but never found a clear way to offer help.
Instead, we found something completely unexpected: a massive cross on the hill, quietly calling us in. We had no idea what the place was, but as soon as we got out of the car, there was a feeling of peace and reverence that stopped us in our tracks.
As we walked through the gardens and began learning about the project, the artists, and the local community, it was clear we had stumbled onto something sacred. The sculptures, scripture paths, and quiet moments built a kind of stillness you don’t find easily. We left filled with the Spirit and with a quiet understanding that while we didn’t get to volunteer our hands that day, Kerrville is clearly in the hands of a strong, faithful community that worships our Heavenly Father with...

The Coming King Sculpture Prayer Garden is a beautiful reminder that prayer isn’t about earning God’s favor or working our way into His presence—it’s about resting in the finished work of Jesus. Salvation is a gift received by grace through faith, not by our own efforts, but meeting with God in a quiet place like this can deepen our joy in that truth.
Here, surrounded by Scripture and stunning views, you’re invited to come just as you are—no performance, no checklist—only to talk with the One who already paid it all. The sculptures and cross aren’t objects of worship; they simply point the heart toward the Savior who is worthy of all worship.
May God bless the amazing people who maintain this garden, keeping it clean and beautiful. May He enrich their lives and the lives of future generations, because they’ve preserved a place where countless hearts can find stillness, peace, and a reminder...
Read moreHaven't visited here in several years and the change is wonderful, especially in light of it all being through private donations. It's difficult to describe the aura of this place, I guess much depends on ones spiritual walk....if any. Some will come to sneer and condescend, others will be offended because it's not in line with their particular denominational teaching. But to me, it's a place of deep conviction in the power of Christ to touch and change lives especially when I see the thousands of prayer and praise stones that line the walk ways, each with a singular story to tell. It's a place of contemplation, to briefly lay ones burden down and become immersed in the beauty, the peaceful tranquility of the grounds and it's focus on Jesus Christ and His message of hope, love and forgiveness to a world searching for answers to life's questions. Do I recommend stopping? Absolutely! But whether one benefits, gets anything out of the visit depends, as I stated prior, on the individual and their own...
