Actually this is a BIG minus stars. Went in on a sunday afternoon. Drive thru had a small line so i went inside. There was only 1 person ahead of me as i waited about 5 more came in after me. I waited 25 mins and watch 2 people who came in after me recieve their drinks while im still waiting. And no those were not mobile drink orders. As i asked a barista about my drinks she said shed have to find my order (2 simple frappacinos). She did something else then asked my name and said again she would have to find my order. So i decided to get a refund because now im running late. Add another 5 mins because the guy was having problems figuring out what to do(i have no issue with that as the store is only newly opened.) But then he rang up the drinks again and didnt charge me, but i told him that is not what asked i asked for a refund. I explained that people were recieving drinks who order 10 mins after me. Believe me im a patient person when at starbucks because i consider myself a starbucks addict, but this was not a reasonably wait. There were a lot of flies buzzing around barista and food area. I will not return this starbucks as it has some serious issues.
I will say one good thing. The inside is huge. Plenty of open space. You dont feel crowded.

Read moreI am extremely disappointed in the service at this place. I'm currently traveling and this was the first Starbucks we have seen in hundreds of miles. We were excited that they were open, and that we could get coffee. I am dissatisfied by how horrible they were acting. For one thing, they had only one car in front of us, and made us sit at the drive through speaker so long, that we had to double check if they were even open. We ordered our drinks a specific way, one vente latte at 140°, and one Grande mocha Frappuccino with two extra pumps of mocha and no whipped cream. When we got our drinks mine was entirely wrong, and had a long blonde hair closed into my cup lid. I had them remake mine because having someone else's hair in my drink is absolutely disgusting. When we got the latte, it was extremely overly hot, smelled really funky, and was extremely burned to The Taste. This is not an experience I would like to have again when coming back this direction. We probably will not be stopping at this...
Read moreI think we’ve all visited enough Starbucks to be able to compare apples to apples to apples at this point. And most of the items and service is — thankfully — the same. Which is: “pretty good” or better. It’s not like a McDonalds, which can vary dramatically from store to store.
So, the pros and cons of this location:
PROS plenty of parking nice interior design outdoor seating good service clean bathrooms
CONS difficult to get out of (tough left turn onto Sidney Baker; nothing that Starbucks can do about) would prefer a few overstuffed leather chairs inside; make it more of a place to meet for conversation; I assume this is an off-the-highway location, so it’s built for the long-haul traveler. The other location on Junction Highway is more like a living room. Check that one out. It has a porch overlooking the Guadalupe. Coffeecake portions the size of postage stamps (metaphorically speaking); for “real” Coffeecake, get some from PAX down...
