Good near by location. But because customer service is very bad,and prices are much higher than normal, or other stores, and the dishonesty in ringing the items in their sale register, Make it difficult to come back to shop at this store. Most of the time prefer to go to a much better customer service store like India Metro Hyper Market in Bellevue , or DK market in Renton
The old man is mean, and suspicious to black customers,or very dark skin indians and follow them around the store, and watch them from the Isle end, but not helping them.
And when the two young men working there, then it is a different behavior. They are flirty to an annoying level , and more accommodating to young Indian women, and ignoring other customers.
The employees in general handle purchased item very rough during bagging .it is like they have a grudge, or resentments against these groceries
The store has alot of goods frozen, canned, and dry packaged, and the shelves are full of indian,Pakistani groceries, but very little selections on fresh produce, sometimes none appealing.
Also they have so many items on the shelves that have expired dates still marked with regular prices.
Also the store will double ring many items if you are buying lots of groceries ,and not paying attention.
And when confronted they act like it is no big deal. As if it was an innocent mistake, but actually it is intentional. It happened several times. Especially when the old man is the cashier
The store rarely displays prices ,or labels their items with price stickers. So customers never know what they will be charged for an item. So it is up to the cashier to charge what they feel like. This is not correct, and not acceptable.
Its good to check receipts
I highly don't recommend this place for shopping for this type of groceries. I would go to a different store, and to a...
Read moreUPDATE: Went back one last time only to be harassed by the male owner angrily asking me to take down my review because he doesn’t care to take any responsibility. Let me be 100% clear - Good reviews are EARNED not bullied and badgered into giving like some child. While their produce seems slightly better, their story and behavior haven’t changed.
Likely the worst Indian grocery store in the area.
There are 3 things I look for in Indian stores, I'll rate this accordingly.
Variety/quality - has few of the typical brands but likely due to space. Their produce are terrible and overpriced. If you touch the vegetables or onions, most are old, soft or browning. They have a pretty good frozen section and variety of instant chai brands that are noteworthy.
pricing - medium to expensive. Most frozen 4-paratha packages are sold at $1.99. The average prices here seems 20-30% higher.
customer service - the absolute worst hands down. This place is run by a bunch of grumpy careless men who don't know how to handle customers, lie about prices, aggressively handle groceries (you're supposed to be gentle) and appear unfriendly and impatient. I avoid going there if I can help it, but when I do, this experience is a constant. I cringe when they throw down my groceries like they have some sort of masculinity to prove. Then there's the grumpy grandpa who's clearly too old for this job, he hates doing it, I hate seeing him do it. But there he is.
One time this employee did such a shockingly bad job of packing my groceries that the bag ripped in half as he tried to stuff 2 bags worth of groceries into one. Luckily, an elderly gentleman corrected his mistakes, sorted them into 2 bags and politely offered to help me load my car. This one star is really earned by that one gentleman who showed them how things are done and magically was never to...
Read moreI called the store couple of minutes back and asked to speak to the manager/owner and the lady cashier who answered the call disconnected the call saying he is not here. Did not even bother to ask why I was calling. I called back and they answerd call but did not speak, I could hear noise in background. I called 3rd time and now the phone is busy for last 15 minutes. Rude and bad customer service.
Now the reason I was calling- I shopped at this store a week ago. I purchased almost $ 200 worth of grocery and also paid for bags. I asked them to pack frozen and dry items seperatly.
Upon reaching home I put all frozen items in fridge but the cashier put one frozen pack of Deep paratha family pack with other dry items which I was unaware of and it stayed outside all this time. While I am a senior citizen I can't do everything by myself and I waited until some help was available to properly store the dry items. I am unable to understand while we are paying for bags why the cashier's have to be so stingy and stuff dry and frozen items together in a paper bag?
Owner/ manager I am requesting refund for 1 packet of family pack of Deep frozen...
