Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time kayaking and I couldnāt have picked a better place for my first time! I started off the morning hiking alone for my vacation (since none of the fam wanted to join me). It was beautiful, quiet, serene and certainly plenty of space and opportunity to āsocial distanceā.
I was scared to kayak alone, but figured I may as well go for it, since I was already hiking alone. BEST decision ever! The warm lady at the front took my payment, had me sign disclosures and was so reassuring I felt totally at ease. I got the instructions from the tour that was heading out. The guides were so knowledgeable, very laid back and more than receptive to questions.
Let me tell you, listen to the instructors/guidesā instructions and you will be fine! You literally get the hang of it once youāre on the water. You will glide down the most relaxing 2 hour experience in nature youāve ever had!!!
**Beware: Don't freak out if you see a spider. Remain calm and stay positive, you donāt wanna tip over. The spiders didnāt bite me but it was alarming to look down and see them.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is amazing! If you are looking to walk by a semi urban, or super quiet location, this park has it. The trails lead under a bridge that is really cool and kinda dark , I thought the acoustics under there were on point, some one should try practicing some vocals there some time (:
The trail also leads to a few different boardwalks where the land is very swampy and very green! Bring bug repellent! There is a few different spots to sit and take in the scenery, good spots for a quick picnic.
Real quick, make sure you wear clothes/shoes you donāt mind dirtying a bit. The seats are dirty because āenvironmentā. Bring plenty of water. There is a nice canoe entry, very aesthetic scenery! Plenty of shaded trails.
There is a bathroom at the entrance.
Please take your trash with you....
