Dat One Spot — Restaurant in Kissimmee

I’d never had Bahamian food and decided to try Dat One Spot because it came so highly recommended by friends. But it was EVEN BETTER than I was expecting! The menu had so much variety! We ended up trying the cracked conch, conch stew, curry chicken, rice with peas and pork, chicken in a bag, mac n cheese, potato salad, sweet plantains and the Switcha. I can be picky at times, but absolutely everything was AMAZING. It ended up being more than food, it was an EXPERIENCE. It’s hard to describe the quality of the food, but it somehow combined the high quality of a high end restaurant, the indulgent feeling of comfort food, but you also felt like you were eating something authentic and healthful your mom cooked for you with a lot of love.
