First time I went with my husband for a couples massage and it was actually really good. We decided to return a second time. We called for an appointment and the receptionist was pretty rude and had lack of phone etiquette. We called back to notify we were running 10 minutes late due to an accident that had caused traffic on 192. The same receptionist was upset with us and even began raising her voice telling us they have a walk-in that is waiting. I ended up cancelling the appointment right there due to the rudeness and we went to another location as a walk in. Third time was a year later we decided to give them another chance because our first experience was great. But this time I went with my husband to pay for his massage only due to a back problem he was having at the time. I handed the front desk lady the money which would have given me $35 in change. She took the money and went ahead and took my husband back. I was waiting for approximately 5 minutes and nobody ever returned with change. So I walked to the back where I guess they hang out on downtime and requested the front desk lady to hand me the change. She appeared confused and directed me to my husbands room and spoke to his therapist. The therapist was angry and I explained that I never told the front desk lady that the remaining change would be the tip. This was an assumption made by them. So the therapist proceeds to turn to my husband and GIVES HIM THE MONEY. Ma’am this is my money. Even my husband said “no, give it to her”. So the therapist disrespectfully placed the money in my hand. I explained to her that tips are given AFTER a service is given and not before unless there was a mutual agreement, which there was not. Not only was this unprofessional but she also attempted to make me feel less of a woman by handing my husband the money as if I don’t have my own. Won’t be returning. I arrived at my couples massage with my husband. The 2 ladies in the front also happen to be our massage therapist. So, every time that front door opened, my therapist left to attend the customer who came in. 10 minutes at a time, MULTIPLE times! Instead of telling the walk-in to come back later, she takes him and leaves me to attend him. She then placed cups on my back as a substitution for actual human hands. I was VERY upset by this point, but I didn't want to ruin the experience for my husband, who was actually getting a real massage. After 10 minutes, she comes back, removes the cups, and starts throwing creams on my face? Without asking me if im allergic to anything.( now i have pimples) Once my husband was done. I told him not to pay for my massage because i didn't get a 1 hour massage like i booked. After we dressed and left the room. They demand we pay full price for 2 massages after agreeing on the phone to the couple massage price of $139. And i would have no problem paying full price at $160 with a nice tip if i actually got the service i requested. Instead of taking accountability and apologizing for leaving me unattended SEVERAL times, she acted like she did me a favor by saying, " i did extra for you! " Are you kidding ? Extremely rude and unprofessional. I did not ask for cups or whatever cream she put on my face. Then to top it off, they demand you tip! Tips are based off the service you provided.
