Lightning Strikes Pro Shop — Local services in Kissimmee

I've been bowling recreationally on a weekly basis during our lunch break with some co-workers and figured with how often I'm going, I might as well buy my own shoes instead of renting them for $3, which I ended up buying from Lightning Strikes. I was able to find the same shoe online for a couple dollars less, but being able to try it on in the store and supporting a great local company was worth the extra few bucks.

After some more time, I figured I might as well start getting serious and get my own ball. I walked inside of Lightning Strikes inside of Colonial Lanes and decided to check it out and ask some questions. Mike was extremely friendly and helpful and pointed out some of the great deals on used balls. Since we were in the middle of a game, I figured I'd come back on my own after work.

MIke had recommended a used ball that would be a good fit for a beginner like myself. He then took the time to analyze my hands, take measurements and drill the holes. Not only that, he then spent some time with me to ensure that I would be able to properly use it and even showed me some new techniques for making an approach on the lane, and how to properly hold the ball.

In my opinion, I feel that I definitely got my money's worth. I'll be going back to get some lessons in the near future.

This is the only pro shop I've ever visited so I don't know how others compare, but Lightning Strikes has definitely set the bar...

I don't even know where to begin, this pro shop is very welcoming to new and experienced bowlers. The shop is very stocked up so they have pretty much anything you can think of when it comes to bowling gear. Called the night before to see if they had the ball i was looking for and they did. Dave was very informative and enlightening, I think he's very passionate on what he does. He also drilled it for me on the spot which took less than 30 minutes. I was treated very kind by the staff and I will without a doubt come back for my next ball or anything else I'll need in due time. He also provided me with a free game to test out my new ball which I was very appreciative of, he even came out afterwards to ask me how I performed. Dave's an awesome guy with a kind heart, he's got experience and he knows what he's doing. Dave is really helpful and knowledgeable. I went into the shop after not bowling for years and told him I wanted to get back into the game and learn to hook the ball, Dave not only informed me on the selection he asked asked a lot of questions before recommending something and he explained in detail why he recommended certain balls based on my play style. He drilled the ball perfect and gave me pointers on how to hook the ball. After a few weeks I’m now consistent in hooking the ball, getting higher revs while having consistent speed because Dave was spot on with the recommendation of the call based on my play style. He also DID NOT try and up sell he was honest and told me what I needed even got my fiancé a ball and she’s bowling better than ever thanks to dave recommending a heavier ball for her.
