First let's start with the logistics. Very economical, parking, small general seating theater where virtually every show sells out. Now here is the kicker, each show is completely performed by minors, including the directing, costuming, etc. So, want to instill some theatrical arts into your child, see a production and then get them involved! With that, know that these are quality productions. I was amazed at the choreography, acting, singing, and the creative sets, done by minors again! People if you have a kid who really could give a hoot about theater but enjoys building with his/her hands, then introduce them to set design and building! Do you know how many paying jobs in Hollywood for someone who can build and is dependable and substance free. A producer for HBO offered me a job simply for my work ethic! If nothing else, creative production is also beneficial to the logical side of the brain. So jump in kids and family!

Get thee to Knoxville Children's Theatre to see the Reluctant Dragon. The whole cast is outstanding. The dragon is so funny, St. George and his vanity will make you laugh over and over. Glaston is charming and Woolchester is a stand out, not to mention that hair. What a fine production from the kids and Steve Sherman.

One of the best entertainment venues, especially for the value, in Knoxville! Please support live theater - especially children! Future Broadway stars are born in theaters like this one!

Knoxville's hidden gem! This theatre performs plays for children, by children. This is also a non-profit organization that will never charge a child to participate (but donations are very helpful). This makes performing at KCT an opportunity for any child in the Knoxville area. You won't come here and see a huge, off-Broadway production, but your heart will be warmed. Our family has watched several wonderful plays here. Ticket prices are very reasonable and most shows are appropriate for all ages. I highly recommend a...

The quality of the production was excellent given that it was run entirely by children. I took my daughter and niece to a production, and they loved every minute. They had an opportunity to meet the actors after the show which they thought was like meeting celebrities. The organization offers a variety of summer camps for interested children. I only give three stars because there was a strong unpleasant odor coming from the restrooms that was difficult to ignore...
