I had gone on Tuesday, November 11th (Veterens Day) & visited on Friday November 14th. We had the same server both times, Devin was his name. The aesthetics of the restaurant was flattering, I’m loving the green wall, how the food menu layout & drink menu looks. The food taste was so so, could use more fresh herbs/seasonings to freshen it up. I had a red sauce pork focused pasta (I can’t remember the name of it) that tasted room temp when I got it. The red sauce didn’t seem special, prob a simple recipe. The second night I went I had the walleye. It was cooked perfectly & breaded beautifully. When I had a bite of it, it was the blandest. The batter was not seasoned, nor was the fish itself. The tomato squash soup was perfect though. The presentation of everything was eye catching and portions were lovely. Cocktails are too strong in alcohol to enjoy, unless thats what you’re looking for. The ice cream desserts were the star of my experience here. Devin seemed off the first time he serviced me and the group I came with. Didn’t seem as enthused as the second time he serviced us. He made up for it by giving us smiles the second time which made the experience all the better. Happy server, happy customers. I would return because I like the atmosphere, their ice cream desserts & the bread best. Try this place out &...
Read moreWOW! What a fantastic place! Considering it just opened in October they are hitting it out of the ball park! We had the Arancini, a fried risotto ball and it was wonderful! The meals were very good, I had the spicy Caeser Salad with the crispy chicken breast, first time I had a salad that had a great amount of dressing and the chicken was excellent. My daughter had the Salmon Oregonata which was flavored so good, she devoured the whole thing. My wife has the Bianca’s which was done perfect! The sausage had a good amount of fennel. The Tiramisu, OMG, was so good! Probably the best we’ve had! Quite the...
Read moreI want this place to succeed, but also had high expectations due to the reputation SAGRA has and reviews I've seen online. The lasagna tasted like it had sat in the fridge uncovered. My co-diner liked it, I could only eat a bite. Couldn't get over the fridge taste. The mushroom pasta lacked any sort of flavor. It was very one note. I expected to be able to taste the marsala cream, but it just wasn't there. Overall, the mains needed more flavor, herbs, something. Seating is a bit close in some areas, so conversation is a bit hard if someone is at the table next to you. For the good: service, wines,...
