I’ve had two bad experiences here. The first time I brought my computer to be backed up to a new drive they gave me a price upfront - but upcharged me after the fact because they “didn’t realize that I wanted all of the data on my computer transferred.” Which I think should have been the reasonable assumption.
The second time I brought my computer to have the hinge replaced after a drop off of the nightstand. This ended up being over $300 for the repairs. When I got my computer back, the bezel around the screen was peeling off in the corner, there was a blue mark on the new part and the new part was gouged like it had been dropped. I asked about these things- the tech went back and glue down the loose part and removed the blue mark with some alcohol- he did offer to replace the gouged part but it would take 2 hours, which I didn’t have. Again- these things weren’t present when I dropped the computer off, this was only after the repairs. They called me and said my computer was fixed. He then offered to give 10% off the repair- I thought that was satisfactory.
I never got the 10% back, and whenever I called back to inquire -they said they would no longer give me the 10% back, but if I brought my computer back in they would fix the gouged part - which would of course mean driving back across town and being without my computer again, when it could have just been done right the first time. ———— To respond to the owners comment below- I was interested in getting it fixed - That’s why I brought it in the first time and it wasn’t fixed satisfactorily.
I was offered 10% back (which I feel would have been acceptable) and then the offer was taken away for some reason as stated in the review.
To say I’m more interested in getting cash back than getting it fixed, no. I WAS interested in getting it fixed- that’s why I brought it in. The repairs were subpar and a satisfactory solution to them was offered, then taken back. Regarding not having a record of the remote first visit -did you backup all...

Read moreThis place is a complete rip off. Sold me a power supply without enough power, and charged for two hours labor to install it. They ordered a bigger one but were busy, so I installed it myself. Took under an hour, and I was never refunded for the installation fees they charged to install the wrong one. They also charged me double what the actual price of the PSU is, and my AIO cooler hasn't worked since I got it back. Can't say for sure they did that, but I'm not one to believe in coincidences.
Edit to respond to owner: if your tech really told you that, then he's a liar. Demanding a PSU that likely wouldn't work makes no sense at all. I specifically asked if it would be enough since it was 50 watts less, he looked at the components, and assured me I would be fine. As for it being dirty, that's also a lie. I cleaned it literally the day before I brought it in. And yes, I did expect some markup buying parts from a smaller shop, but I wasn't expecting twice as much. Im not surprised people are always leaving negative comments 2 weeks...
