Zeus — Restaurant in Lafayette

Had dinner here the other day and I was disappointed. Parking is not easily accessible at the front (it's right off the main street), otherwise you need to pull into the back near the hotel. That's fine, I won't penalize for that since it's not anyone's fault in the restaurant.

The service was just okay, cordial enough, but the food portions FOR THE PRICE are absolutely ridiculous. My dinner plate came with, i kid you not, maybe a tiny scoop (less than 1/4 cup) of rice. WOW. Something so cheap to make and they skimped out on it, it was almost disrespectful. Don't put rice on dinner plate if you can't afford to put more than a tablespoon (not an exaggeration). Also, I had to ask for pita bread which is usually a standard item for all orders and is an inexpensive and abundant item at other Medit/Greek places.

The food itself was, at best, mediocre. Chicken, hummus, and rice were all somewhat bland. There really isn't a single saving grace about this place. Won't...

i will not go to this location ever again! I popped in for lunch and ordered my regular dish that i get at my local zeus's.I ordered my meal, service was good, i had asked for the combination plate with no rice and extra meat, sat there eating some of my food i had noticed that i did not get any extra meat and i paid extra for that. i had also ordered the grape leaves with meat. Had one in the restaurant and it was great. i had to leave, since i didn't have much time i took my food to go. later on that evening i warmed my lunch up for dinner and when i bit into one of the grape leaves there was no meat just rice mixture. They gave me very little hummus but was generous on the salad all the other portions was smaller then what i usually receive at my regular Zeus's. Man oh man! What GREAT, FANTASTIC FOOD. Everything was so differently spiced yet savory and flat out delicious! The service was pleasant and spot on. Really nice food and well presented and tasted so unique! My husband had the large platter with so many options and he was beyond happy. I used to hate bad hummus but here the hummus is so creamy and well seasoned that I almost wish I could drink the stuff! We ordered several things off the menu just to make sure we got a large sampling of many of their offerings and all of them pleased us…the baba ganush was out of this world!
