Murdock Park — Attraction in Lafayette

I played the disc golf course at Murdock park a couple of days ago, the course is not real easy to navigate and online maps didn't seem to be much better for first timers, after figuring out the layout it was a a fun course to play with two sets of tees or platforms per hole, orange was the long tee off and white was the shorter tee off, a lot if out of bounds and thick brush that can swallow up discs and a lot of trees to navigate not an easy course for beginners from either orange or white platforms and as I was playing I ran across a pro disc golfer from Sweden that was here in Indiana for the indy 500 and got some insight to the popularity of disc golf world wide and thought Murdock park was as challenging as...

I love Murdock park. There is a nice pavillion and it doesnt cost anything to use. You just gotta hope no one else is there. Lol. There is a nice play area for the kids right next to the pavillion. Theres a little league field up the way and the facilities for the bathroom could be closer. That's quite a walk. (Bathrooms are close to baseball field, not the pavillion) in the winter, we have a snow slide called 'Murdock Hill' very nice and you can purchase snacks and drinks there. The field has a built is Frisbee game if you like that kind of stuff. There is an elementary school up by the baseball field that also has a play area that is open to the public during the summer. There's is construction on the park. They are installing sewer lines and putting a tank for sewage where the baseball field used to be. They have the entrance closed on 18th with no signs warning you the entrance is closed. They have all parking closed except by the shelter off of Ferry. With so much digging it's dirty everywhere and way more bugs than usual. No parking or entrance for wheelchair either. Very disappointed.
