If you shop the produce, seafood & meat sections- based on what's on sale, you will come out ahead. They always have excellent deals. I get more groceries for my money. My only big complaint applies to all of our Lake Area grocers: their seafood is nowhere near "local". Some comes from the other side of the world...places where I wouldn't allow our dogs to eat what they have to offer. If it isn't Fresh, Wild Caught seafood, I don't want any of the sub-par "seafood". Farm raised fish are almost as nasty as buying seafood from some of the 3rd world countries we see stamped on the packaging. Seriously, when you know that large, dead animals are bloated & floating around crowds of other people & animals, you sure should know to NOT eat the trash food they're selling. At the very least, Kroger could offer the cheap seafood, BUT, still offer the cream-of-the-crop options for high quality seafood. Get it together, people! We deserve the best. So, demand that you get the best. Kroger can certainly afford to do both. Kroger does have a huge selection of many food items. The rest of their food quality is very good.
