Okay I walk inside the building there was to young ladies so I walk to the counter think the lady that was hold the phone was going to take my order and she acted like I was invisible after about 5 minutes there was this old very nice white lady she asked me was I ordering I said yes the young lady ask the old lady what she wanted to order as if I never walk into the building the young lady with the phone ask the other young lady with black hair to take my order and I was confused on why she couldn’t take my order but took the old lady order so I just went with it and I did a build your own burger and cheese fries with a drink the young lady with black hair ask the male he had tattoos (who was putting customers food in bags ) does a patty comes with the build your own burger and look at her confused for a second and said yes. She kept saying oh sorry this thing (which she was referring to tablet ) has a lot of stuff on it give me second. When she got done she told me it was 18 sum but I always leave a tip so it ended up being 23 something I went to go sit there was a employee with a mop and he was mopping the floor while customers were still eating and the young lady (who didn’t want to take my order) told him to stop mopping cause we could fall. The young male with tattoos came to me and ask me did the young lady with black hair ask you do the build your own burger come with a patty and I said yes and he started shaking his head and laughing he walked away. After 5 mins my food was ready and I just wanted to go home from having a long day from so I got my food and drove off. When I got home it smelled off so I opened the box with the cheese fries and it had a pound of bacon on it and I’m allergic to pork. I never knew the cheese fries came with bacon I only told her cheese only on the fries and she said okay so I was very mad about the fries I had to throw them away my burger was salty was raw onions and I don’t eat raw onions. My experience there was horrible all I wanted to a burger with cheese fries and this was yesterday night at 8:12 and I left at 8:27 pm. If I would have known they was going to mess my order up I would have went to fat pats at least they aren’t discriminatory towards me I always be polite in place I work into because I used to be server so I understand hard days but this was just Rude and disrespectful I will never go back to maplewood burger and I will not tell my friends not to go...
Read moreI went in to Maplewood Burgers one Satudsy around 3:00 p.m. there looked to be a few customer waiting for there food and when I walked in I noticed how clean the place was, the wall decorations were tasteful, and some were catchy. I went to order and this wasn't my first time eating here, but the last time I ate here it was at their old location. So I'm glancing over the menu with a friend of mine who had never been there before so I told him what I had the last time, which was the bacon stuffed burger, I told him it was good but I wanted to try something new, the man who greeted us apon entry quietly listened to my friend and I as we discussed what caught our eye, he then started to make recommendations and ask us about what we liked so he could guide us into the right order, he was very polite and I and my stomach both agreed on his recommendation, the brisket stuffed burger, I then gave him a tip because even though it didn't seem like much I really enjoyed his service. My friend and I got our table and awaited in anticipatio, in the dining area I noticed a mural of the lake arena and the 2-10 bridge, it was very colorful and covered the entire wall. It also show cased hisbold location and a small portrate of his family letting me know it was family owned for some time now. While waiting, the man who took our orders arrived with some wings that were new and said they were on the house, at this point I hadn't realized he was the owner yet but I was shocked and humbled by his hospitality to me and my friend none the less. I thanked him and dove into the wings which of I may say were better then buffalo wild wings but that's my opinion. When he brought us our burges I had finally realized who he was and we talked for a few minutes, I told him I loved the place and how he treats customers, totally genuine guy I would name him but I dont want to buthcer the spelling, in closing I was extremely thrilled with my experience and the food is worth going back for time and time again, as well as the kind hospitality. If you want to support local business and leave full and satisfied this is the...
Read moreIt's very hard to review this place at the moment. My wife and I went to the location in Lake Charles on Nelson rd. to have breakfast. We were the only customers at that time. I ordered the Crawfish Stuffed Omelette and Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich on sourdough bread.
When we arrived, there were 2 employees cleaning the windows outside and inside. My wife noticed a woman that had walked from the grocery store and sat down at one of the tables outside. She had some food and a drink she'd apparently bought at the store. She sat there started eating it. We could see she had some kind of hospital bracelet on and she was having a conversation with no one. She wasn't bothering anyone. There was no one else out there and the 2 employees had finished and come back inside.
Our food came out and we started eating. I immediately didn't like the omelette. It had a strong fishy taste and I could tell the crawfish had been over cooked. I was disappointed. I had been excited to try it. The sausage, toast and hashbrowns on the side were fine. My wife had the sandwich. We always like to try each other's food, so I took a bite of her sandwich. It was actually very good! The sauce they put on it was very good. My wife also tried a bite of the omelette and had the same reaction I did. I was wishing I had ordered 2 of the sandwiches instead of the over expensive omelette.
While we were eating, police showed up outside. 3 patrol cars, in fact, for one woman. I understand that management of the establishment might have a problem with someone eating food from elsewhere at their tables. But calling the police on someone that was not causing any trouble, was just ridiculous. They arrested her. It really was pointless and made no sense. I don't know who to more irritated with. The management of the restaurant or the police. We will likely...
