Reflektion Salon — Attraction in Lake View Township

I’ve been to reflektion in the past with a different artist prior to their move down Clark and wanted to try it out again but was left confused and wondering if I should go back or at least pick a different artist. To be fair my artist was lovely for the 20-ish minutes she worked on me, but that was about all I saw of her. She was running severely behind from the platinum blonde client in front of me which I was understanding to however after my gloss and wash out by her assistant I was then left with the receptionist who ended up burning my scalp with the hair dryer to dry my hair until a more seasoned stylist came over to finish me up thankfully. I was contemplating walking out/just paying for the gloss and leaving with wet hair because the girl/receptionist doing my hair wad trying her best but was visibly getting overwhelmed and frustrated and I felt like I wasn’t getting the best service I could have. Anyway all to say not sure I’m going to return even though I’m satisfied with my hair. I think Ieva just needs to not overbook or say no to clients requests if it is going to bleed into another clients time as it seems the toning for the client before me was more than what my artist expected or she had longer hair that took longer. I was understanding of the assistant (who was incredible by the way) needing to step in to do some things but I felt very rushed and it felt just unprofessional and impersonal to have so many people touching my head my first ever visit with...

This review is long overdue. Especially since it was quite possibly the best cut I've had in years, if not ever. I was nervous trying a new place since I moved, but RefleKTion was amazing!

I was supposed to have an appointment Friday, July 23, but at the last minute, my stylist had to call in sick. Even though she didn't have any actual openings, Ieva squeezed me in the next morning. I think it was Cassie who washed my hair and made me feel welcome (you are amazing! If I remember your name wrong, please forgive me!) while Ieva worked on her actual appointment. My hair is super thick. Deceptively so, because each strand is very fine. Usually it throws stylists the first time. But not Ieva. My cut has been amazing from day 1. Even through the first shower and self-styling (usually the real test of a cut).

(A friend of mine, Juliana, needed a post-covid haircut also and gave RefleKTion a try the very next weekend. Had a different stylist but told me all about how amazing it was).

Now I'm in a quandary. My birthday in the 27th of this month and I want to pamper myself the weekend before by getting a trim and taking advantage of the birthday Conditioning Treatment offer. But it took me too long to decide this. Now Ieva doesn't have any openings that weekend. So the quandary...do I try a new stylist here and still birthday pamper myself...or figure out another...

Nikki (Nicole) does an amazing job on my hair. I’m blonde and I’ve been going to her for years and now go to RefleKTion since works here! Highly recommend her if you’re looking for a new stylist.

RefleKTions new location is super cute, very clean and everyone in the salon is very kind. They give you water with fruit or your choice of beverage.

This is great because my appointments are always behind schedule, which is why I knocked them 1 star, however they provide great service otherwise. It’s not a huge deal BUT my scheduled appointment this time was 4:30, they asked me to come at 4:15 so I changed my arrangements and then I didn’t get seen until a little after 4:30. For me it was just kind of an unnecessary ask and especially since I still waited until my original time. But this is super small and may not bother some. Either way I have some tasty water for my wait!
