Barrelman Tavern — Restaurant in Lake View Township

A gem of a tavern!!!!! My daughter and I are from Canada and were staying in a hotel across the street. How amazing it was to look out our hotel window to see a tavern just a few yards away. This small friendly tavern is so cute and the owners/operators are wonderful and friendly people. Carly served us the first night and has such a warm smile that makes you feel so good to be there. Barrelman is an oasis. Yes, this place checks all the boxes, but it is however far from the “check the box” culture we look for when reading restaurant reviews online. You really have to step in to get the true vibe. This human and dog-friendly establishment is driven by its passion for community and love for the industry while providing a cozy, welcoming experience every time we go. 5 STARS - MUST GO! My husband & I were staying at the Heart O' Chicago across the street and decided to check out Barrerlman Tavern. This was one of the best decisions we made all weekend long. The owner, Travis, was super friendly and helpul. So many great choices of drinks to choose from. He even let us sample some whiskeys (and I'm not even a whiskey girl, but am now)!!
