Great local place for a nice paddle. I kayak or paddleboard here nearly every weekend. The small islands provide protection from the traffic in the channel and make for a calm paddle.
You can put in at Bryant Park or there is a kayak launch north of the bridge. There is no parking at the kayak launch so be prepared to leave you stuff unattended if alone.
I always see tons of iguanas, racoons on the golf course, and sometimes snook. If you catch the tides right, the shore of the islands come alive with crabs and puffers.

Read moreThe park itself is very sparse and the parking is located on the other side of the golf course on Golfview Rd. Also dawn and dusk can be a bit dodgy as the gazebo at the end of the pier can become very crowded.
