CUSTOMER BEWARE. Shopping online with Michaels is an absolutely scam. On January 2nd 2024. I ordered online two bracelet making kits for a 9 yo. The advertisement said, "Buy one get the 2nd one @ 50% off " No problem. I bought 2 maker's @ $19.99 each. The second one 1/2 off was $9.99. My total was $33.05. A hour later I get an email that my 2 items are ready for pickup. 10 mins later I get an email saying, " Cancellation notice. I changed my mind regarding an item" I never canceled anything. HERE'S THE KICKER!! When I called. I was told that one of the items wasn't in stock which was why it was canceled. Even though supposedly it was ready for pickup. So now, because there weren't 2 items. The 50% discount didn't apply. I was told that there was no way to replace the out of stock item with another item so I could get the discount. Since the order was ready for pickup. If I wanted buy one get one @ 50% off. I needed to now buy 2 more items. My refund was not for the listed price $19.99 or $9.99. Even though that's what my receipt says. Michaels priced the items at $16.51 & $16.54. $5.00 off each item. My refund was the lesser of the two. By applying the 50% discount to each item. Now, no other store coupon applied since they are whatever percentage off the regular price. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!! THIS HAS TO BE A COMMON PRACTICE THAT MICHAELS USES ALL THE TIME. Nothing about my online order added up number wise. This morning, someone from customer care. Suggested that I fill out the online email survey if I had any concerns about my order because he wasn't sure who would be able to make a verbal...
Read moreReally clean and well stocked store. However, I pretty much rolled out of bed and into the store, so no makeup, sweatpants etc. , for that reason I was followed around the store as if at any moment I was going to start shoving merchandise down my pants. No it didn't end there Not only was I being treated like a low-life Thief but the employees proceeded to talk to me like one very disrespectful. Space so much so that other customers also started to look at me like I was a thief a low life. I have never been so humiliated in a public store in my life. So I'm not sure what the management there tells their employees or if the employees take it upon themselves but if it ever happens again I'm going to fill up two carts of all the stuff that I want and I'm going to walk out with it without paying I might as well right. I was being facetious with that last comment but what do I do? Can someone out there please give me some ideas on on what I should do and how I should handle this. So to Michael's management into their employees consider this your farewell warning I am nice and polite but my soon-to-be husband is not and he loves me very much and protects me very well good luck hopefully you guys...
Read moreI've gone to this Michael's for about 2 years now, I've probably spent hundreds of dollars because i shop every 2 weeks. I've always have a decent experience, i know the store so i don't ask for help and like to be left alone. Today on the other hand i walked in and smiled at a male employee, he then came back and asked if i was lost and that he could direct me. I thought it was weird but just told him that i was very familiar with the store. As i walked around i would see him peaking on me, then another male employee and ten 2 security guards started following me! I was done shopping and when i left one of the guards followed me out the door! I've never been treated like that by any store and it really pisses me off that they'd assume I'm a thief. After i left the security guards left as well and its...
