Small little gem in downtown Lancaster. Might not be a huge museum but does have some nice art work. I know some look for expensive art here but I go to look at art and not the value worth. Very interesting though. Went with the kiddos and staff does walk around to make sure you don't touch things and whatever I am ok with that. Some parents don't look after their kids, seen it. So I get it but they were also helpful in answering questions that we had. They do rent out for parties and it's really beautiful. Oh and check out their tiny gift shop and buy something to support it. Loved this place and kids enjoy it a lot! Best thing free so don't come here complaining. It was free people and awesome!

I've seen to three different shows this year, I think they change it 4 times a year. I loved the exhibit that showed cassette tape being repurposed and knitted into beautiful works as well as tires being melted into a new creation. The latest one (Fall 2019) was a bit too dark for me. I'd suggest looking at the free exhibit guide they offer at the front desk to determine if little ones should see what is exhibited. Entry is free with a suggested donation. I also would highly recommend renting their rooftop space for an event. It's beautiful!

I am a recent Lancaster transplant. MOAH is a lovely cornerstone for expression in this becoming city. The receptionist with glasses and sand-nail polish was so welcoming, informative, and took the time for me to see if Cedar Hall down the street was open--the whole staff seemed like creative types who take pride in the establishment. FYI i visited the "m\other" exhibition and really enjoyed the branching aspects to it--race, sexuality and community all tied to a mothering base.

I’ve been living near this place for years now and was so excited to being myself and my children m. Oh how I wish I never came . There was a white couple who came in before us and they gave them the full run down along with a program book. As my kids and myself walk up to the counter to get the same information they just dully look at us without making one attempt to speak . A woman working behind the desk with a colorful skirt on was just about to walk passed us until the receptionist told her to welcome us. She didn’t give the same info as the couple before it and I also had to ask for the program book. We weren’t in the museum for more than 5 mins before she began to stalker and stare at us. I thought nothing of it until I realized it was just me and my two teenagers she was following. I felt so uncomfortable and judged that I left immediately. Told the receptionist at the front desk and all she had to offer was a dry unhelpful apology. Call when I got home to speak to the woman’s manager and coincidentally her manager wasn’t available. I would never go back to this place...

Ive lived in the area for a long time now so decided it would be nice to take a look. Well the exhibits were ok there was a staff memeber who followed myself and family threw every single room up and down stairs. He followed extremely close and made it very apparent he was following us. Myself my sister and our two young girls. Not only did this man follow us but when i told the children to stand in front of a painting so i could take a picture he yelled at them not to touch as they were trying to position themselves for a photo. Not touching anything. So I dont recommend going here and if you do dont have children. Take the drive to a better museum or just dont waste your time or gas money. It was a...
