Caramel Pastries Bakery — Restaurant in Lancaster

I couldn't even try a piece of a cake or anything they had in there because of the bad customer service we went in with my wife and our kids to try to order a birthday cake for a daughter a month from today she didn't even know what day was and she already said they couldn't do it when I told her that it was a month from today she said they still they were busy when I told her that I can pick it up one day before she said so you want it on the Friday and I told her no because today I'm giving you it's for a Sunday so if I pick it up a day before that's a Saturday about the cakes we didn't ask to change the shape just the color of the cake she said that they couldn't do it because it was too complicated everything we ask for the answer was no either there have all the parties in the city or they just don't want to work cuz I can't believe they could arrange to make a birthday cake the was getting order a month before she's the older lady there and she makes you think she's the owner of the place I hope she's not the owner this was our first time there and our last the place is always empty on the cakes that you can see in the pictures the only have a couple of things I don't know if it was because it's the Sunday but who trying to still get something small just to give it a try but with that customer service and how she was treating us like she didn't care of course we didn't order anything if anybody wants something if anything anybody wants to order a cake from here Touch of Go six months in advance because that was what the...

(Post from 4 months ago) Super cute bakery. My new spot for ordering cakes and desserts. So many yummy selections to choose from. I tried three different cake flavors before ordering a cake. I ordered the (Mango Cake) and everyone at the gathering loved it. Had great compliments on taste, moist texture and especially the decorative presentation was beautiful. I placed my order 4 days in advance, was enough time for my gathering. It would’ve be nice if they sold small individual bite size cake flavors so you could choose from instead of their regular dessert size if you want to taste their selections. I’m taking more pictures inside and the other desserts next time I come.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(Now in Aug-2025) Must add and post that once again, I had a great experience. Great over the phone customer service, I was conveniently able to order my daughter’s cake and they accommodated the time for pickup right before my daughter’s breakfast brunch celebration with family. They all loved it. But most importantly the birthday girl loved her cake. Very soft, flavorful and moist. This time I ordered the (Passion fruit cake)

I cannot believe how poorly my fiancé and I were treated when we visited Caramel Pastries Bakery today :( And I do not understand how a bakery that sells old pastries and makes it so difficult for customers to order can stay open. We try to support small local businesses and decided on Caramel for my parents’ 50th Anniversary cake. We asked for a menu of the flavors and were told that they do not have one, so we asked for a photo book and were told that they are not customizing cakes at this time. So...we decided to purchase some pastries so that we could sample them on our own, and were surprised that they did not taste fresh. Still, we were optimistic that a pre-ordered cake would be, so we worked with one of the associates to select a cake, and as we approached the register to place the order, an older woman came out from the back of the store, seemingly disgruntled and speaking Spanish to me. I do not speak Spanish and I am not sure why she made that assumption.
