Lancaster Library — Attraction in Lancaster

I think that the hours it's open should be more, especially on weekends, but I like how the library set up into easy to find sections for children young adults adults non-fiction video games movies Etc. They also have a good amount of computers for the public to use. The only problem I have is that they don't tend to have the entire series of books, so they'll have the first book in the third book in the series but not the second in the fourth or they'll have the third in the fourth book in the series but not the first and the second and other things like that. You can request that they borrow books from other libraries if you're willing to make the trip back there. I do wish that they had a little bit of a longer rental. But you can renew the books online so it makes it better. They also have a nice section of books for sale with the profits donated to a local charity and the books are very fairly priced. And they have the ability to read books online and read them on an electronic device call which can be useful. Overall it has good atmosphere easy self checkout and easy returns. If you like libraries there's not much to dislike here. And there's a great selection of stores surrounding the library as well as a few museums....

I moved to Palmdale from the Pasadena area a little over a year ago. Currently seeking employment and decided to go the library to do just that. I've been to libraries in Los Angeles-Downtown, Pasadena, San Marino, South Pasadena, San Gabriel and Alhambra. Came to this library because I already have a County of Los Angeles library card. This was the NOISIEST library I've EVER been to! People are having LOUD conversations with each other. I witnessed people constantly on their phones and LOUD! People just sitting around chatting as if there are in a coffee shop. Even the employees are loud so I imagine the noise level I witnessed at this library is normal. The staff is so patient, kind, helpful, and have forgiven fines I've had for delinquent books and movies, assisted with special inter library loans and helped facilitate obtaining copies of rate books that are very hard to locate, they've taken time away from their duties to walk me thru procedures on the computers, and in addition to that, permitted me to make dozens of copies/prints that I desperately needed to have, although I didn't have any money on me at the time to pay for them. They have been very good to me, are considerate to all, and have bent over backwards to be of assistance.
