Went here with my fiancé and parents last night 2 times. We first went in to eat around 7 and the food was GREAT!!! They definitely have some good bbq. The customer service was also good, everyone was welcoming and our server was on her stuff! They had free line dancing which is awesome. And the place was really cute and vibey. My only issue is that they only played crappy, modern pop music during line dancing (I saw this in another review). We came back later around 10 to drink and dance, but the whole atmosphere/vibe changed. There was a bunch of people, they had a bunch of security in the front checking bags and people. Which I can appreciate the safety precautions, it was just a little weird lol (but security was cool). The whole place just felt like a regular club or bar with some country decor om the walls. It is definitely not a country bar. It's for city folk who think they know what country is 😂 I'd definitely go there again for happy hour or early-ish dinner, but probably wouldn't go back late at night. If they played WAY more country music even classic rock, it'd be...
Read moreWent to have dinner for the first time at Buckles & Boots on Lancaster boulevard. Upon entering you immediately feel like you're in a country tavern. Very rustic and fun. We went on a Friday night and not sure if this happens all the time, but they had line dancing lessons happening which was entertaining to watch. We ordered the blackened salmon and ribs. The ribs were tender and flavorful but nothing stood out as far as the seasoning or sauce went. The blackened salmon was charred to the point that the ends were crunchy so completely overcooked. I'm a huge fan of blackened fish and have had it several places and it's something I make at home. I would not recommend this dish there as it didn't have the heat and the fish was dried and pretty terrible. The side dishes we ordered were the green beans, garlic, mashed potatoes and the cowboy beans, All of which were very flavorful and good. They had a full bar and some unique signature drinks. Overall a decent...
Read moreFelt like slipping into a pair of comfortable.... Seriously, it has been decades since I have been into a country bar so this was a living memory of The Crazy Horse and Denim & Diamonds for me. It was like coming home. The food was really good. Not Crazy Horse amazing, but close. Try the pretzel even if you are not super hungry. Its worth it. The staff were pleasant, quick and answered questions about drinks honestly. My only complaint was the line dance instructor. She was too fast and too focused on her friends and regulars. A few of my group attempted to learn the dance and got lost, but the instructor was too busy with the front rows to check on the back. I suggest starting with an easy dance first as a warm up then jumping into the main lesson. Its the way it was done back in the stone age 90s. When we are in the area we plan to frequent this place, after we blow the dust off our lace up ropers, hats and other stuff that is...
