What to expect if you rent a booth here. The owners do not care at all about the vendors or their booths! I had a booth here for only 2 months. I've had multiple items stolen from my booth, items vandalized, the owner never bothers to check the cameras to see who is stealing or the back door of the building. He's never even apologized. He censors your booth and will take down items if he doesn't approve...but he has NO problem with all the smut magazines in his store. To him that's acceptable. They do not do any promoting online for any booths like most shops do. And not only do you pay to rent your booth, but then they take commission off every item sold. It's hurt my checks from their commission. The rent isn't enough for them, they need commission as well, on TOP of charging YOU for when someone uses a debit or credit card on an item. THEN, they want you to work there for FREE every month and if you don't they will deduct $25 out of your check. They are money hungry. Instead of passing those costs onto your customers, you could look into negotiating higher commission rates with your vendors or absorbing the fees yourself. It's just part of running a business. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back, and I’ve already shared my experience with others, advising them not to support a business that treats customers this way and takes extra money off the top claiming it’s for “card processing fees”.
I’d recommend reviewing your policies, as this could potentially lead to legal...
Read moreI have always enjoyed my experiences at the Lawrence Antique Mall. It is ever changing, you can find so many unique items from every era. Furniture, old trunks, jewelry boxes, jewelry itself! Toys, books, collectibles such as Pokemon cards, baseball cards, and comics. Clothing, shoes. From dress up items, to everyday wear. And SO much more.
It has three floors, and so many booths. Definitely the type of place to get lost in and see the sights for hours upon hours! Even if you are not looking for something in particular, it is fun to just look around.
I enjoy the employees as well, with their friendly personalities, and interesting insights to the items there.
This place is literally my favorite place in town, and I have passed that...
