I like going to Royal Crest, especially early. It's not crowded and I can work on my bowling skills. Larry, who I think is one of the owners, was very nice and assigned me a lane away from the other bowlers. He later came down and introduced himself. My problem is with the older gentleman behind the counter, who is very unfriendly. Keep in mind there was only a few people bowling and I had requested to be placed away from them so I could work on my bowling skills. So I'm in the middle of my first game and Mr. Grouchy comes down and decides to polish the two lanes next to mine. Okay, not a big deal. As I'm starting my 3rd game Mr. Grouchy placed a family right next to me. There were close to twenty open lanes and could have at least placed the group a couple of lanes away. I have visited here the last two years for my Enployer Christmas Party and was entertained both years.
The lanes are well kept and I personally experienced no negative examples during play. They were a bit slick my last visit but I'm sure they just oiled them.
The food is tasty and of your typical bowling alley type. Burgers, fries, pretzels etc.
