Been going to Muddy Waters for about 3 years. Started with previous owner which was fantastic. But decided to give new owner a chance. I was pretty much on my own even though I paid for classes with the owner/instructor. There were instances of destructive comments from the owner/instructor but was able to keep going because I enjoyed pottery. Last week I wanted to change from class/instruction to being on my own. When I told the owner, she became verbally abusive and hurtful. She walked out on her own class and verbally attacked me in front of other students. I would not recommend Muddy Waters unless you can keep your thoughts to yourself and can work independently. I was told not to come back and to find somewhere else to have my pieces fired. Read moreI'm a bit older but always like to try new things, pottery has turned out to be a creative outlet for me. I looked to different venues and initially made contact with Tierney at Muddy Waters via txt, she was open, provided flexible scheduling and affordable rates. I'm in! Not one regret, I've had so much fun and learned a ton from Tierney. For me it's so cool to make pieces I use on a daily basis in my kitchen, cups, bowls, platters, soon to learn techniques to make pitchers and casserole dishes. The instructor and owner of the Business is a very knowledgeable and hands on instructor and always puts forth 100% to her students and renters. Not only is Tierney an excellent instructor she cares deeply about her students, business and position in the community. I'm sure others would agree with me in this assessment of Muddy Waters.
