Munchers Bakery — Restaurant in Lawrence

5/14/2023: We went to Munchers around 4PM on a Monday in Mid-May. There were plenty of options in the cases and the cakes especially looked lovely. We got brownies, chocolate croissants, cream cheese donuts, eclairs, and filled long johns. I wished that I'd also gotten a few cupcakes. Everything so far has been amazing, even days later. The chocolate croissants have a lovely, slightly-grainy texture to the filling. The cream cheese donuts are wonderful, though I prefer the croissants. Tamasa who helped us was very friendly and polite. Munchers had a few folks inside and there was a nice homey feel to the bakery. I might well be going back to Munchers within the week!

5/19/2023: We did indeed go back to Munchers. Tamasa was just as friendly this time as well. We went around noon on on a Friday. The cases were still very full and the treats were all just as delicious. We got cherry and cream cheese danishes instead of brownies this time. I still didn't get cupcakes but only because I can make decent cupcakes at home. The danishes were really good and had a nice crispiness. The bathroom was down a long hall which was a bit unusual but the bathroom was clean. Munchers has great baked goods!

6/3/2023: You can tell that I enjoy donuts! XD Kate helped us this day and she was just as friendly and polite as Tamasa. We bought cream cheese danishes, cream cheese donuts, chocolate croissants, cream puffs, eclairs, and Long Johns. I chose not to get cupcakes again, although I keep regretting that decision. As usual, everything was delicious and fresh. We had gone to Munchers the evening before but the selection wasn't great so we decided to wait until the next morning. That was a good choice since the cases were entirely full. Unfortunately, I'm moving three hours away so my Munchers consumption will lessen considerably. Disappointed Service!

Hey I really don’t want to make this a big deal, but why is it every time I go there and buy donuts with that young white man (I don’t know who he is, but when I visit tonight, he was there)helping picking up my donuts giving me the WRONG donuts that I want!?

I really don’t understand?? Like how, the first time was one wrong flavor in total of four donuts that I but, and now, today, it was THREE wrong flavors total IN FOUR!! I am so Speechless like why?? I don’t get it. I don’t live close to this bakery but I really like the donuts in there so I thought it is worth it driving a bit far to buy some really good donuts! And I came back home opening my packet and realize that AGAIN I was given the wrong donuts! Like???

I remember the other time of the nice older man and he was at a good help and will ask to check which is the right flavor to take. I don’t understand why is it so hard to ask?? Please ask and I will tell you the right one, I will not be annoyed, because I want the right flavor donut that I am actually wanting to buy. Anyways, I will still be return to buy because they really do make great donuts and I do appreciate for that. And the 24hrs opening bakery shop, here in Lawrence the only one I guess? Please improve the service because I thought it should get 5 star if separating the services(only that 2 times).

(Lastly I want to say Please don’t take it personal, everybody makes mistakes and ME TOO! I make mistakes, so please please if you would see this, I really just wanted to have the RIGHT flavor/selection of the donuts that I want!) Best...
