Honestly would be 0 stars if that was an option! Absolutely do not stay here. The are fraud! Traveling with my family (including 2 infants) and needed a place to stay since we had been driving 24+ hours. Checked in at the front desk with a girl who had no idea what she was doing. Ran my card 2 times even though I showed her and the “General Manager” the payment posted to my bank account. They said because they could not see it on their end they had to continue to run the card multiple times. They had to go get a laptop which the GM said was his personal laptop and that he had to call his bank to get proof it was paid. This process took over an hour, meanwhile my two babies were stuck waiting in the car with their dad. Finally the GM told us that they were going to comp the room since it was taking so long. I even called my bank who said the payment processed. The breakfast was a joke, old stale food. At check out the GM was annoyed because he was watching a video on his phone at the front desk. He said we were good and we gave him the keys and left. Well we were trying to book a room for the next night at our next destination and the card was declined. I looked at my bank account and it showed we were charged for another night after checking out. I called my bank and they said the hotel ran the card and payment posted yesterday and then ran it again after we checked out. I did not authorize this 2nd payment. When I called the hotel the GM said he had to run it again because the payment was not showing up on their end. I ask if he could send a fax to the bank to tell them that it should only be one because that is what my bank told me to do so I could be credited back the money. The GM refused to do this and said he had to call his bank. At this point I contacted guest relations who were also useless and said they couldn’t help me. I ended up speaking with a supervisor and she was able help she called the hotel and told the manager to fill out the fax and send it to my Bank, after hours of fighting with them and finally one of the charges was refunded. I flew in for a family emergency and got the room for 3 nights. I booked a nonsmoking room and paid online. I check in and walk into my room and am hit by the horrific smell of stale smoke. I call the front desk and she says that there are no nonsmoking rooms available. Ok, that's fine, just not trying to get charged a cleaning fee. Get up in the morning and go to the hospital. We are gone all day and I come back around 3 pm. I walk into the bathroom and there is a Marijuana "roach" in my bathtub. I go to the front office to find out what is going on and they call the manager to come and talk to me. I sit in my room waiting and 2 hours later, no manager. I go up front to ask about him and was told that he said that he has never had that problem before so that it must be mine. I tell the clerk that I most definately don't do drugs since I am in the army and would lose my whole career. She says she will have the manager come and I tell her that it if doesn't concern him then don't worry about it. I then ask for an extra blanket. She tells me that housekeeping will bring it. Housekeeping brings a blanket and asks if there is a problem with the bathroom and I tell him yes and I walk him in there. He then says I'm sorry and picks it up. I ask him why would he say that and what is that, his response was Marijuana and that he was in a hurry. I told him that I have a child in this room and not to smoke in here. I called the front desk to inform them of the housekeepers apology, even though it couldn't be his. It has been about 30 minutes and I still haven't heard from the manager. Needless to say, I won't be staying and the this hotel ever again. Oh, and when I told the clerk about not even wanting a smoking room, she said that it was put in the note that I was offered one and said I would stay and that had 50 available rooms when I checked in. Read moreI reserved a room through my company. When i arrived at the hotel and walked through the front door there was noone that came to the office. After a few minutes of waiting and saying hello i called the hotel, they answered the phone and i told them i was in the lobby to check in. The employee comes out, checks my family inn (while you can see the frustration kick in because i have a service animal that they cannot charge me for). I get checked in, go to the room and go to sleep. The next morning i go to the lobby to make sure my room is paid for in full and my keys are good so i wont have any problems (as i have a newborn baby and service animal). At the lobby I was assured that my room was paid for in full and my keys "should be good" as he said. After a week of being there ( had to get my keys redone several times smh and several times of double checking that the room was all paid for and there were no problems) I check out early in the morning (didnt go by the office because all week I was told everything was fine). 4 hours into my 10 hour drive i get a threatening phone call from the econo lodge telling me we didnt pay for the room and demanding payment that same day or they "will turn me in for non payment". Payment of almost $300 ( that they said i already paid!) Now here we are a week later, this hotel has over charged my card almost $100 and now its not their problem. "You should get your money back soon" is all they will tell me. Be careful staying at this hotel if you use your personal bank card. They will use it at their pleasure... 20 random charges in amounts that range from $10-$230 increments tell me they use it at their leisure when they feel like it. Then they will threaten you through email and voice calls. And I am still waiting on my money, if I will ever even get it back again. Be careful and only use cash if you have to stay here.. Sad to say but any other hotel/motel is probably a way better way...
