These folks WILL tow your car—even though there is ZERO signage anywhere to warn you.
After my friend’s car vanished, I had to call 911 because the city’s regular number just redirected me to the non-emergency line, which of course goes straight to voicemail after hours. (Super helpful, right?)
There is absolutely NO information posted about who to call or where your car has been taken. For a place that attracts visitors from out of town, this is completely unacceptable—honestly, it borders on predatory.
We will not be coming back to Lake Lewisville in Little Elm. Shame on the city for making this such an opaque and punitive experience. If you’re going to be this aggressive about towing, you have a responsibility to post clear, standard signage stating: • YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED IF YOU DON’T PAY • Here is the phone number to retrieve your vehicle
I did park in the overflow lot—$10 for a patch of grass in the middle of nowhere Texas—and watched several cars double-parked in the trailer section. Naturally, someone who’s never been here would assume that was acceptable.
